I wouldn't have commented just because I was disappointed with the plot and the characterization of characters…
I agree with you. I love the almost impossible or too good to be true "true love" stories where the main leads truly love each other and defeat every obstacle to be together, but there are two issues here. 1. The writers have to convince us that they truly love each other (that there are reasons for it); and 2. There should be balance for things to make sense, because while ML is the perfect guy who would only love FL, FL had multiple relationships. I am not saying it is wrong for FL to have has other relationships, but the story is unbalanced, and while she is treated as hero for moving on and living her choices and leaving everyone (including) her parents behind (and we are supposed to be feel sorry for her), while on the other side, we are supposed to "enjoy" the constant suffering and heartbreak of the ML... not fair.

I am on episode 26 now, and I understand what you mean, but I find romance in the small things, like how the professor is hitting on her but she ignores him and the first person that comes to her mind is ML, or how quickly she reacted when she had to save him from the party that the ex husband invited him.

I am on episode 20 now, and while I understand that FL is not "in love" with ML yet, there has definitely been sparks between them, but she is a little bit too cold with him. She just rejected him for the second time, and he just seem to be fine with that. He saw her at a mall with another guy, and she did not even try to clear the situation, while on the other hand, an unknown girl said two words in the background while they were in a phone call and he took his time to make things clear with her. I am not necessarily complaining, since I am enjoying the show so far, but I see your point when it comes to the FL.

ML is more than a little creepy, stalkertastic.
All MLs get a free pass to a lot of things, but that's fine since they are the lead. If any of that would've been done by another guy it would be disgusting and unacceptable...

TBH I loved this drama, the chemistry between the leads was AMAZING. The only thing that could have made it perfect…
I agree with you. Some side characters add some context, but they usually receive too much screentime, and other characters add absolutely nothing to the story.

I feel like every time the little sister is in screen is filler. Her plotline is weak and seems to go nowhere, while contributing to one of the weakest an unnecessary love triangle ever with the professor.

💯 I would recommend you to watch the original where they derived the story from as there is no annoying hockey…
There is a love triangle, there are two in fact, but they are extremely weak because the first is short lived and ML is never interested in the girl, and the second one is a professor who is going after FL, but she is not interested either, at least by episode 20, but I don't see that ever happening.

how's the romance? are there many kiss scenes?
I am still watching, but it seems like the romance here is translated in time together and support, or being there for each other. As far as I know, the main leads will only get together by episode 30 out of 36, and there seems to be only one kiss, and is not very "good". I am still here only for the "Noona" romance, but the romance is very low key.

I have to agree with you regarding the side story with the sister, and even the teacher that was going after FL; those were completely unnecessary and if you skip them, you are. kt missing anything, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that there is no romance. I am only on episode 19, and there is definitely "romantic" moments, at least from ML, and small sparks from FL. I would say that this is not your typical romance, since it is not a about hugging or kissing, but a about support and company, since the main leads are nowhere close to dating but they definitely spend a lot of time together, that could be considered a bit more than friends.

Script had too many characters. It really needed to focus on leads and their lives. Otherwise, it was a good watch.
It is true that he is rude and rough around the ages, but he has always been like that, this shouldn't be a surprise; the mother on the other side is vain in my opinion. She shouldn't just give up and not be appropriated, but I am sure that as a woman she has the tools to butter him up and make him act a little better.

I understand that showing his family background help us to connect with the main male lead, but on episode 10 now, and the time wasted with the mother and the father fighting over a dress is a waste of time in my opinion.

I am only on episode 7, and even ML's mother is getting a side story... which seems to be one of the reasons why It takes the main leads 30 episodes together.

On Episode 7 now.
I think I understand why the main leads only get together by episode 30. While I understand that this is a slow burn show with attention to detail, it is still true what other comments mentioned, that there are some side characters that at least to me (and other people) are not relevant, or at least, not interesting, like the sister and even the husband who already played his role by cheating and should be showing less by now.

However, on top of that, we have that, of course, like every Noona romance we have to wait for her to move pass her current relationship, be approached by the male lead and reject him or ignore him until her walls come down, have an internal conflict about having a relationship with a younger man, and finally, accepting his feelings, but this whole process is still on stage 1 on episode 7, since she is not only not divorced yet, but accompanying her cheating husband because the small and innocent baby needs to hold hands to leave the hospital... Wasting time. Let's hope they focus a bit more on the main leads soon, so it is easier to skip those boring and unnecessary characters.
