I think the grandfather is sending the evil man to the US because he knows he's got it out for his beloved grandson and also probably suspects he has no morals, wants the CEO position way too much and will do anything to get it. I do wonder why the little boy is over here in the U.S, though, and where his mother is. I also wonder if Grandpapa also knows about our dear couple and that's why he was asking the restaurant lady about Seori.
It does seem that Grandpa very much disliked ML's mum because he was willing to give up everything for her and Mundo hinted that Grandpa did something bad to her. The mother was an actress and the father was the chaebol, who apparently loves just as hard as his son. The father wouldn't have had to work twice as hard because all of the wealth was in his family. I suspect he didn't want to devote his life to the company and the grandfather didn't like it and interfered.
We need to know what happened to ML's father, but hopefully it was tragic enough that Grandpapa has learned his lesson because Se Gye is desperately and madly in love and also could not care less about becoming chairman.
Hope we won't see too much more of the wannabe fiancee. Now she wants him to meet her mum, but from what we've seen from that lady, the daughter is in for a world of hurt because she will plainly see that ML is not into her daughter and won't hesitate to tell her.

I suspect that the original Seori is done for. What would be the point of bringing her back? He wouldn't like her anyway because from what I can tell she's very soft and lacking in confidence. He loves Dansim's version of her because she's completely nuts and assertive and brave and fun. This love story we're watching unfold is a second chance for the prince and Dansim.
