radio drama had already achieved that feat now the manhua is doing the same. If an animated adaptation is announced with all the actors & actresses from the live version returned to voiced their characters, it will definitely be a huge game changer

Animated version would be best especially it can be override the censorship the c-dramas had to follow thus can be adapted faithfully to the original source. LYX, BL & other casts can reprised their characters

YT took down recently the channel that provided the format that posted & douyin seem to doing it too. Luckily I listen to all of them and it helped so much understanding the characters better with the extra lines and scenes not in the novel as I discovered a way to listen to them all. The tower sequence in the format is possibly the most emotional and powerful scene than any other adaptation with the extra lines & scenes.

I didn't watch much the 90s c-drama that period. I only remember watching the Monkey King & the Handsome Siblings that time. Even Teletoon, a Canadian kid show, did the animated version of the Monkey king for 3 seasons
