in the book it happened when they were 6 yrs old so it was very reasonable to make them adoptive siblings, bc at that age kids are very innocent and Tang San had a protective heart towards Xiao Wu like a little sister. but the drama's sequences just messes it up

my boy Ma HongJun is already pretty tragic enough and they just had to add more drama. Everyone's just using him to add more drama
