this was the first time I liked her in a drama maybe it helped that she had a wider range and all actors did an amazing job during scenes. she was amazing as Queen Mother so hopefully something good comes her way.

This was lovely! I really like the main actors. 2 things though...felt like it dragged in some parts specially at the beginning and the end...is that it? it felt so rushed whyyyy do they always do that

let's hope they release that special episode 🙏its hard to let go so fast! so in the meantime im on the hunt for the next kdrama

Vincenzo is not a Romcon, Moon lovers the ML was the biggest villain and there were so many male characters after her that even when the SML died...she had the other prince supporting her til the end adhering to the cliche.
perfect but destined to lose green flag is still the top cliche which seems to fit what you wanted to see and would have worked for you. for me, having the PM spiral away from the spineless SML role was a breath of fresh air so it seems we agree to disagree

I know its hard for some to accept because they're not even sure what they wanted but this was a really really good series. I think it was consistent, fun had beautiful scenes, incredible wardrobe and obviously superb acting which kept me hooked every week. I also think this is the perfect example where a couple more episodes would have benefited the series immensely to really flesh out the choppy parts.

SML turning evil is an outlier, they are breaking away from the usual cliche of SML pining for the FL with no other purpose than to be the eternal rejected green flag that gets shipped to the US at the end. So yeah, SML going full villain...is refreshing

what is driving the PM? I think it was never about HJ its about the change he sees coming and the lack of control he has over things. never underestimate how change can affect a person and the lengths we can go to keep things as they are.
QM is getting her punishment as well, we only saw the beginning and for someone so devoted, being branded a sinner and hurtful to the crown is a big blow, she has to be strong for his son in the meantime
HJ Dad is not really relevant IMO, however he behaves has no hold over HJ anymore. if he wants to be a doting father go ahead, if he wants to be an ass she can and will stay away.

yes. being rich and with the intense desire to impress at the beginning, I kept wanting more killer elegance from her wardrobe. I really was hoping to gasp every time she had a scene but her outfits and jewelry were forgettable even felt a bit sloppy.
She did such an amazing job, I wish I had that wardrobe excellence as well
