Way says nothing about Tony in the book after he tries to have sex with Babe. It was all about how he was in love with him that doing that was the only way he could make Babe his. He still couldn't be made to see sense and was stuck in the delusion after all that going back and forth and still didn't see what he did was wrong. I think in the show they tried to make him more of a sympathetic person😒 by having him say that doing that do Babe and making him have a family with him was the only way Tony would leave them alone.

It was different with all those other fUCk buddies because they never lasted like a day or two at most and he thought in his screwy mind that Babe would turn to him🤦🏼♀️. Things was clearly different when Charlie came into the picture. Way tried and tried to get in-between Babe and Charlie and it never worked out and they always ended up together. The second he saw Charlie was able to last longer than all those other fUCk buddies the writing on the wall for him. Babe even told Way that he loved Charlie.

yep I guess some people might not get what's happening not having read the book especially since they changed some things and left out some things. But I still think they did a good job at adapting it.

He got further along in that scene in the book. He was all over Babe doing all kinds of stuff and was about to completely undress him by taking his pants off and that's when Charlie came busting in. Way didn't make Charlie go to sleep either in the book. Charlie laid his ass out on the floor. Also Way wasn't saying all that crap about Tony and Babe going home either and how he was doing all that so that Tony would leave them alone. He never said any of that in the book either. He was just babbling on about how he was in love with Babe and he wanted a family and crap with him. 🤦🏼♀️

As a personal opinion, I feel like they are not at all working on the side characters and giving them enough screentime…
If they wanted to give some focus to the side characters they should've made this a 16 ep show. There are already important things I'm worried that they won't be able to fit into the remaining eps or if they do it will be rushed. Then there's a couple of special chapters at the end of the book that I know they won't be able to fit in the show.
