Po is anything but a 'naive oblivious puppy'..
He is more mature with a recent past trauma what is still healing & also in search of finding himself..
(You can heal,overcome obstacles and continue to move forward with your life but your body remembers each and every trauma..)

1) Keep it in mind,without Po,the band would be disbanded already..Don't forget his contribution already..
Within very few first interactions with Thame and rest of the band he understood the root of the problem and what they actually wants and made them speak their mind to him and each other..
How is this sounds naive to you?
(Rather,I think in order to praise Thame for being a green forest,what he obviously actually is,people doesn't pay attention to Po just because he works in silent,behind the scene,doesn't demand credit for anything and also shy and introvert..)

2) As for why he doesn't take initiative to intimacy is mainly cause it's Thame's first relationship,so Po doesn't wanna impose..he is letting Thame to experience his every first,in his own pace..That's why Po wasn't leading here..

3) Remember,When Thame finally took initiative,Po straight looked into his eyes and doesn't shift his gaze,what confirms that he is ready but can wait till other one is also ready..
So,it's not clueless,if you have basic idea of behavioural psychology,it's his understanding nature..

4) What unrealistic dynamics? They balance each other perfectly..
Being a non celebrity and adult in the relationship,Po has to think about reality with complex layers and dynamics,where Thame is going with the flow and concentrating on what his heart wants..
(in Episode 6,Po said: "How about we find a balance to see which speed suits us best?")

5) Last but not the least,as a novel reader,whatever problem is going on and upcoming,Po will solve everything,you just wait and see..
He definitely 'didn't lose his personality' just because he is being shy and cutesy after spending the night with his own boyfriend..It may not be his life's first sex but it's first time in this relationship..he has the right to be happy in however adorable way he wants..

He is not a typical BL bottom who 'just recieves',you already forgot his contribution to his ex's success,to Thame and to the band..
Po has the ability to give endlessly,that's what made Thame fall for him,so,Po deserves 'every single bit of affection' Thame gives to him..
Don't be so much presumptuous..In actuality,he is a problem solver..
(Don't just focus on romantic relationship,see him as a whole..And Po got a great emotional intelligence..)

It's not even a BL..It's a proper LGBTQ show..

You'll get him after some episodes..You'll get to know he is far from a**hole..Eventually you'll understand why he is like that with his Mother..Without supporting him you'll still realise he is a damaged,broken,raw and real person with shortcomings and how and why he is the way he is..
