I am sobbing (not literally, but figuratively) about this because they were doing SOOOOOOO well with this couple!…
See, that's not how I read them at all. To me, they were a classic case of "enemies to lovers," at least for Aob, who pretty quickly saw Puen as competition. But I thought their pairing made a lot more sense than some of the others and I was enjoying the dynamic change as time went on: first Aob says Puen's hot, then pushes him away. Puen looks up to Aob as a mentor at first and wants to take things further, but Aob says come on, we're not friends, but we think he doesn't totally mean it. Then Puen starts improving/getting more popular, Aob is threatened, then jealous because his feelings had been growing.
So I was not surprised in this ep to have Aob admitting to himself that he's into Puen, but I was NOT expecting his walls to just disappear and suddenly he's all cutesy with the young competitor? It was just all too fast after the slow burn since ep5.
You know they really pulled a UNO reverse when it comes to the Aob and Puen dynamic I thought Puen would be the…
Aob and Puen *were* interesting to watch but this? Man, I'm disappointed. I really, really wanted a better storyline for them, and they had been doing SO well with this couple that I'm very let down.
this is not a rant but the hiatus tuned me off so badly of this series 😬 to the point i'm not excited about…
Fingers crossed that you'll be into today's ep! 🤞 I do know what you mean about the show's momentum being lost because of the hiatus, and while I didn't sit down and do a "full" rewatch recently (meaning that I didn't watch every minute but just skimmed and watched scenes here and there), it was super useful for me to go back through what I'd forgotten now that I know the characters and how they're connected.
Hahaha, I can only imagine THIS comment section, if they put us all in a theater to watch it live and let us comment.…
LMAO! Clearly you haven't seen the other times I've managed to fit MSP into a Playboyy comment thread! 😄😄 I think the first was when someone was criticizing the fact that the twinks didn't seem to attend classes or do schoolwork and I said that despite the action being set at a school, like in MSP, in Playboyy it didn't seem very important for the plot. 😉
I will wedge MSP into *any* discussion if I see an opening. 😉😄 (My love for MSP knows no bounds, basically.)

LOL! I hadn't realized you'd meant the cast could READ our comments! For sure they would be mortified; some of them would probably never act again. 😉😄
But the idea of a watch party with fans for a final ep made me think about a series like MSP where the ONLY thing we were all waiting for happened in that final ep, and to imagine that in a packed venue with the actors right there...I just don't even know how they'd feel, and MSP wasn't even steamy!
Copy A Bangkok has announced a final ep watch party with the cast at the end of February in Manila. I wonder why in the Philippines. Is that where the largest number of fans are?
I'm intrigued by the high possibility of awkwardness, cringe, and disappointment!
That's the question... Aob said that he'd do anything for the right amount of money + When the other Playboyys…
Ah true! I'd forgotten about that line about "you should know about the boss going too far," though I wonder if that could be something as "innocent" as keeping too much of their tips, or whatever, instead of something menacing. I'd also like to think that Aob would have meant do anything sexually with a client for the right amount of money and not something violent/illegal, but maybe I'm just loath to think that way about Aob.
As for Puen, I can't see him as being that calculating! Maybe I'm the naive one but I'm taking him at face value: he caught and confessed his feelings for his older, hot mentor, who then rebuffed him but got destabilized in the process. Now, Aob has lost his focus but Puen hasn't, so the student surpasses the master, but I don't think Puen planned or manipulated that to happen. But maybe I'm just too 🥰 with this pairing and can't see them for what they are and I'm the one who'll look like an idiot when they are the masterminds behind Nant's disappearance. 😂

And yes, I've also become invested in the mystery of Nant despite not thinking I would be! I came for the NC but stayed for the plot. 😄
