He "hired" Aob and Puen to "make love, not f***" but then we never saw him pay them (unless it was supposed to be digital), and he gave pushback to Aob when he asked to be paid even though he didn't deliver. Hmm, that's not quite how I'd read the criticisms. I thought it was more along the lines of "if both characters are Thai, why on earth are they communicating via poor English?" I feel like if they'd made it obvious from the start that Soong was biracial or that Thai wasn't his first language or something, it would have been less of a stretch when he'd be conversing in English (or honestly if HIS English were better), but they didn't choose to go in that direction.
