I agree! It was such a casual moment! But it's like that in the manga too. And yes, for me what's missing is any actual reason for them - esp Kuji - to be behaving like this, like past trauma or doubts about being good enough or *something,* but all we've had are Kuji's thoughts about how he's never forgotten Sakutaro and how he's falling for him...so why not be an adult about it? I get that this is Japan and we rarely see characters being open about their feelings and emotions, but what's also missing for me is any sexual tension! It would make more sense if they were both young virgins, but clearly they aren't. Idk, I was expecting more from this series and so far it's not delivering.

I agree that it's logical, but then on screen it doesn't seem like it, at least to me. And I thought we had a declaration, of sorts, when Sakutaro asked what he did and Kuji confirmed it, but it was a pretty underwhelming scene.

I just sent another report and I chose Offensive, which is probably what I'd indicated the first time.

Well, I sort of remember the tiny teaser we got some years ago and I seem to recall it as being more gentle and romantic than intense, but I could be remembering it wrong. But I think you're absolutely right that none of us were expecting sparkly chaos. 😄

Did you watch Playboyy? I'd qualify that series as the fun kind of trash (with lots of weird NCs, ha ha) so maybe I'll feel the same about this one.

Lol! I did read a lot of the early chapters of the manga, thinking we were missing some explanations of things in the show, and yes, quite steamy in parts! But that's what bugs me so much: in the manga there's seemingly no explanation of why Kuji keeps holding back (though I never finished it), but then in the show they're not even hinting at them having sex "off-screen" to keep with the spirit of the manga.

The fact that you referenced Hitchhiker's Guide makes me want to watch this now! 😄

Exactly this. I had high hopes after ep1...only to be confused after ep2. They seemed far too comfortable with each other too quickly, and I didn't feel any tension between them, sexual or otherwise. I've been watching the eps as they're aired but I don't look forward to them like with other series.

I suspect we're wasting our time. 😂 We just want to see an *adult* relationship portrayed, not some confusing situationship where they are either boning or barely kissing.

🤣 They are two gay men in their late 30s, so yeah, I'd expect them to be having more sex than they seem to be. I don't need to SEE it, but at least they could imply it more than they have so far.

I think we'll get more conflict in ep6 (if the teaser is anything to go by) so hopefully that helps because I feel the same.
