Ukkie being the cursed one who's body died long ago but alive due to ice stone and the wraiths surrounding him like that. If ice stone is removed he will die. Similar to Harry Potter where Harry had a part of Voldemort's soul but when the spell was casted only the part of Voldemort's soul died while Harry Potter lived!
So, if Buyeon/Naksu will have to remove the ice stone from UK's body, then it might only destroy UK's power and not his soul. There are high chances UK will be alive in the end! Happy ending.
