Proving he can be possessed. It could also be as other people said about wearing sunglasses. But how did the person figure out he could have blackouts when wearing sunglasses at the beginning when Ye bun was not even using her powers to investigate the case. But yeah idk... its just a theory. Maybe its not even the shaman, it could be some random dude that barely gets any screentime.
It might be the Shaman. I guess the Shaman gets possessed by an evil spirit each time he kills someone. From the moment he is possessed to the moment he regain conciousness. There is a blackout as its not him controlling his body. Or something like this.
