Is the bar so low that any blink-and-you-miss-it moment counts as "promoting the community" for you? I won't drool over scraps when I'm being starved of real gay stories

The side "couple" was the least interesting part of the story. They hit "pause" on the gay couple's story I cared about. If anything, they reminded me why I don’t watch straight dramas
sunwoo and yoodahm are trash couple anw, i remember the manhwa fans were so mad the more they got chapters and…
Hee Su's story is one piece of a larger narrative world. There are other gay stories and characters that are worth exploring, even if they don't directly intersect with Hee Su's story
Those arguing for the introduction of the second gay couple in the second season are disregarding the likelihood that the adaptation won't continue into a second season. They're open to changes in adaptations that reinforce heteronormativity, but don't extend their openness to timeline shifts and changes that'd include the second gay couple
With the knowledge that the adaptation is unlikely to see or be picked up for a second season, a sensible approach would've been to unite the storylines of both seasons into a single, cohesive narrative to preserve as much of the source material as possible. The second gay couple didn't have to be removed from the adaptation
I get that people have different preferences, but the issue here isn’t just about having a straight couple in…
I'm sure they've read the manhwa

Character development shouldn’t come with a side of "here’s your mandatory dose of straight validation." A…
Advancing agendas can be achieved through the art of subtlety. We're seeing that subtlety in the adaptation
"... their romance is not exactly groundbreaking literature and doesn't contribute anything to the main story in s1"
The producers dedicated their resources to introducing a "straight" storyline between Chan Yeong and Ji Yu. The same resources could've been dedicated to modifying the timeline of the second gay couple's storyline to intertwine it with Hee Su and Seung Won's. Their storyline didn't have to feel unimportant, disconnected, unrelated, or out of place in the adaptation
I'll quote the other comments on the subject for more information:
"The script writers developed a "straight" relationship between Chan Yeong and Ji Yu, which doesn't exist in the manhwa. Their presence and influence on Hee Su's development could've been achieved within the context of a friendship. Interjecting a "they're more than just friends" angle is unwarranted
The writers' ability to generate a new storyline between two friends shows that the same changes could've been done for the second main gay couple. They could've strengthened the second gay couple's connection to Hee Su's story. Doing so, both gay storylines would coexist and contribute to Hee Su's development in an organic manner"
"... and she barely got any screentime"Are we allowed to criticize something after it’s derailed the story?…
It's not delusion, but rather an apprehension rooted in the historical erasure of gay narratives in favor of "straight" ones. Your condescension does little to alleviate the concerns
Some of us prefer gay stories that are gay and free from the influence of heteronormativity. There's nothing wrong with that preference
BL fans look for something different from the straight narrative. They shouldn't be shamed for not wanting to consume it
Ji Yu and Chan Yeong don't have to be together to help Hee Su and Seung Won
A story featuring predominantly gay characters and relationships isn't wrong or a problem. I believe it's different and refreshing

Are you invalidating my opinions? Am I not a real gay person to you?
