My vibe is that he isn't an apath, but his father thought he was and raised him to be such. Or...something mentioned…
That's an interesting idea about the genius gene. I completely missed this detail, but I think it would fit him. His research in ‘apaths’ always felt personal. Do you remember which episode it was? The way I see it, his father had some kind of god complex on top of the whole empathy thing wanting to break and mold PS into his perfect successor by eradicating any ‘weaknesses’ inherited from his mother. It's obvious PS doesn't hold the same beliefs as his father, but I do think he's incapable of empathy as a result of his father's conditioning (and depression).
Oh, you mean in the newest eps? Sorry, I'm only on ep21. I'm just assuming they changed it in post-production to avoid censorship, because I've seen it done many times before.
Like Winter Begonia.https://youtu.be/m6mIXadJ6cA?si=tcYMw_aMqRCi21Qn.
Your comment just sent me down the rabbit hole of watching all those soulmate ‘Winter Begonia’ edits …again. Help! I love that drama to pieces<3
Beautiful sad song. I like ZXC’s voice, but haven't listened to him much. I only noticed yesterday that he was in Our Song/我们的歌 S6 last year. I'm kind of tempted to watch it now. I've been stuck on S3 for ages.
Ep20: Hmm, shouldn't they have that long convo with hanyang in a park somewhere? Or did they check for bugs and I missed it? It just felt imprudent to discuss so much openly.
I really felt for WZ in this episode. All his earlier beliefs are being upended one by one. Then TZ unintentionally weighing in with that brick of a comment about not even being able to trust your lover… talk about hitting on a sore spot;) Hope he opens up to PS next ep.
I appreciate ZXC’s acting so freaking much. Those little moments where it looks like he’s struggling to put the mask back on are heartbreaking to witness. I truly can't imagine anyone else in this role.
I wanted more PS and mama moments! She's infectious:)
I think he is apathetic. It was mentioned in earlier episodes.
Yes, exactly! I didn't want to write too much and spoil anything for you. I think they purposefully shown him in a certain light at first, then as we learn more about him and what he went through, we get to question our own assumptions. Makes things more interesting :)

It wasn't explained. PS talked about it but it's not clear if he was serious or sarcastic and trying to needle WZ. I think its supposed to be a mystery for now.
You csn trybwatching the show here https://www.cda.pl/RealTrifle/folder/69190592 the subtitles hear are better.
Did you try switching your browser to desktop mode? It should play. If not then Abyss sub on Tumblr has good subs for ep9-15. @yiguosubs on twitter are subbing this with multiple lang. Up to ep11 so far.
