Yap...no matter how much they change.... it will still be a Danmei adaptation....and thats the issue...there is a ban on such adaptations...so something internally on NRTA stance has to change to allow complete airing....I wish they could atleast say hey....no airing in China but yall can air or sell them internationally...I mean beggers cant be chosers..so....or we can sit and wait until NRTA President pass on from a Heart Attack and someone more lenient take over😅🤣....That would take years....The spiteful tends to out live everyone else😭🤣🤣

Honestly Immortality with the hype it had back in 2021 was gonna be bigger than TU....Knowing Tencent they were gonna promote the hell out of the drama, not to mention, the promotions the actors would've done back then, concerts, interviews, photoshoots, advertisment...behind the scenes....The drama itself with all those bts leak....was gonna hint even more towards the "Bromance" side than TU...plus the budgets for the drama is much more.....the leaks of bts fights looks beautifully done with better CGI and the story if done well is much more complicated, indept might even say might be more interesting than TU... plus even an animated series was suppose to come out along with the Manhua(which is ongoing at the moment)...

However everything got messed up now because of all the new censorship and bans.... so no promotions, 58 episodes down to 40, re- edit about couple times already, now rumors of inserting a FML....at this point it would be a miracle if its the Immortality we fans had waited on for years thats left.

I would keep a funeral for that actress dead career....ngl😅🤣🤣... they are playing with dangerous water...we would rather the drama not airing, than our long awaited drama turn into a failure because of this ridiculous level of censorship that doesnt make sense....

Come to think of it....Immortality production was under fire before, because some bts looked like they already strayed storyline wise from the novel and the fans( like we know it)...wasnt happy and voice their anger.....and the screenwriter said whats supposed to be there, will be and what cant be wont be in the drama.....and we should have faith as they are telling the truth and they will not accept the rest of their payment if what they say isnt true....now time has passed from that statement....so image if all this mess is true....and our dear Immortality turns in a BG where our "gay leads" will complete for her love??? Like what??

There is no way the novel author is ok with this....Imagine seeing her most precious work turn into something that its not!!! I would rather it not being aired other than being broadcast....then turn into the worse drama adaptation in Cdramaland....smh....

Shi Mei already added love scenes are canon to the novel...
So what more do they need to add now??...In the first life MR is even maried to his Empress....The mess I think is gonna happen is that they will cut all visually subtle Bromance moments with MR and CWN, gives SM the female lead position....to make it look more hetro....worse case, make it seems like both CWN and MR loves her and are fighting over her till the end...if so ..imagine the rage if it airs like this????

Imagine its turned into a love triangle with CWN and MR competing for Shi mei love?!!!!😱.... Imagine the love thats already canon with MR and Shi mei which doesnt change the plotline and we all already accept that even being changed to female because of censorship....but drum role.....other than CWM feeling jealous over SM for gaining MR attention and love, they will portray it as the other way around....CWN jealous over MR for SM?!!!😳😱😭😭.... I swear... If so....this is the first I will turn an anti and join rabbid Cnets to bring down a drama and any FMLs who dare to take either MR or CWN spot and stupid production....They take care to make sure these re-edit turns out well and make sense...Imagine seeing our beautiful Immortality which was suppose to even rival The Untamed turned into another useless Hetro drama...disrespecting the novel, author and fans.??!!!!... Ohh boy🙄

I agree....If we want a BG drama, there are tons of those so I dont appreciate the disrespect the BL adaptations are getting....and if Immortality is disrespected to this extent if they air it...I will not hold back my wrath....I aready accept the form of censorship that the drama was suppose to have on its original edit, which should gave aired back in 2021.... making it into a completely BG is unacceptable!!!

Yes that rumor literally caused some damage, to the point production had to hurry and fix what was wrong....so if Tencent think they can just re-edit everything to distance it from being a Dangai to a BG without hell to pay...then the Chinese ent industry that that I know, aint the Chinese ent industry..that I know...lol...but really I hope this is just a rumor, and not legit as I dont want something Ive waiting on so many years to turn to crap or be boycotted out if existence....

I went and read the article and its not the first time am hearing rumors like this towards Immortality about putting in female leads...

The thing is they can do what they want as its their production, and if any copy right wasnt signed by the original IP author stating..(they cant change the leads )...but let me say...this will not go down well with Dangai fans in China....esp. the rabbid ones who takes these things seriously...

Even I no doubt feel the same way....as its the first and only time in history I may join being an anti fan to down a drama( Im that passionate about Immortality)...
I and many others already accept some changes in genders already...eg. Shi Mei...who is basically MR love interests and MR has a wife which is original from the source...

So if its love lines to them...well I understand...and just let it be subtle with the MLs similar to TU...If this turned into a full on hetro drama...lol....this will be a disaster!!!....it will be catastrophic!!!....Imagine an endgame where one of the leads final love interests is Shi Mei...or another???💀....

They tried to pull that mess with TU and how well did it work out??? The actress playing Wen Qing got so much hate even long after she and the production denied about taking up LWJ scenes and after TU completion....so imagine Immortality whom many have being anxious for how long now....( I dont like bullying or hate)....but this is the first time I may go against my morals....

At this point the drama for who arnt familar with the novel is very hetro already..
So what more do they want to experiment with??? If all this is true...Tencent production pictures....are preparing themselves for hell.... and I woulnt even have to lift a finger if I chose not to for that to happen...Seems they underestimate how crazy Chinese fans can be when they are truely disappointed....

At this moment I'll believe it when all episodes are aired, its on Netflix or another streaming network thats not controlled by China....and then I will believe!!!....Because all episodes can literally airdrop and within minutes to days, then they can disappear again....so nope aint no one fooling me this year....lol....I have become a very smart Clown....😅🤣🤣....with 4 years of experience....ofcourse I would...lol

Honestly when I was mostly use to western movies....I would watch movies back then....that were newly released but filmed years ago when the leads were children and the rest of the cast younger adults or just younger in age over all....so back then I was used to it until I started watching K and Cdrama...niw Im spoiled...lol....Most Kdrama literally air during filming...and Cdrama just 1 yr and more or less to film and complete post production...then boom!!!We get our dramas.....This waiting makes me now feel like when I waited 10 years for Bleach TYBW...😅🤣🤣

Yessss...lol...it was so evident in LONM...😅...all the juicy "bromance" bits were edited out....even though the novel isnt BL but the drama was film to be in the BL adaptation circle...This is what worries me about if Immortality airs.... When they have finished chopping, cutting and editing....I wonder what it woud look like now🤔

Lets just pray if it does air...the new censorship rules of cutting down episodes, editing out any and all BL noticable scenes, doesn't cause issues for the flow of the storyline and taking away character developments and making the drama choppy and editing issues all over the place....

As even though I loved TTEOTM to death...the editing wasnt the best, the second leads time was cut....to the point I was wondering what hapoened with them😅....people even appeared and disappeared with no explination of what happened esp...towards the end....lol...

I know the original final edit of Immortality is the best...( I can feel it).... but honestly am kinda worried after all the new stupid censorship rules.

Yah the longest promise was filmed in 2021....and aired just last year 2023....A recently aired drama from Youku....The Hope... aired after 10 years on the shelves...when all the leads were so young😭😭.... Imagine if they do that to Immortality...Im telling yall...one of us need to apply to Tencent Pictures are leak the drama online😅🤣....

Yes that was the perfect timing.... I was literally all ready and preparing for the April 8th airing....because of That Tencent All Star Night...The promos for Immortality literally were beginning with LYX and CFY chatty, flirty and just being familiar with each other....

When I think about what could have been...I go back and watch those moments....sometimes, I even wonder when did all this Danmei ban began again...because they arnt explicit plus already heavily censored...and it didnt began when all the scandals that rocked Cent in 2021....and 227 scandal shouldn't be the issue as WOH aired perfectly after that....

My guess is jealous insiders with power saw how well these films do locally and internationally plus how the actors get immediate, extreme popularily from them....plus they overshadows the dramas they want to be popular....so changes had to be made so they came up a whole lot of excuses to prevent these dramas from airing. As the toxic fan culture is one of their major issues...they sure did not do a good job getting those nutcases under control, as they are alive and well.

Their other excuses were that actors are using these dramas as a short cut to fame...lol....The dramas cultivate unhealthy society social norms-promote sissy behavior towards men, and the unrealistic BL shipping culture plus fanwars and their direct attachments to LGBT content which they dont want to promote.....Ummm then if thats the case its best if the ended all Cdramas then as all dramas have positive and negative side about them plus isnt it all actors dream to act in something that allows the audience to recognize their hardwork, effort and talent???

The actors dont just sit and get famous for nothing...they had to put in the work to make these dramas....When I remember how LYX got sick and how CFY say it was difficult to film as there are many action scenes and they spent months doing so, with all the crew and staff efforts its like not airing it is playing with peoples hardwork....

Im hoping these stupid policy change sometime in the future but also hope they dont mess the drama up as I know it will be edited to fit their new standards esp....the 40 eps limit....all we can do is wait and see....

Lets go back in memory lane yall...Back in 2021...I really wonder.....Was it Tencent stupid greedy butt that caused Immortality to not air till this day or was Immortality truely not finished with post production( specifical effects and such).... or both at the same time????.....

Or was the drama fully completed ready to air on April 8th 2021....but they held back because of Word of Honor, and didnt want to compete, cause if so...( that was a stupid move because even though WOH was good and popular, I doubt it could compete with Immortality popularity then....no offense WOH..lol).....

Im just pissed at the fact that the best time imaginable was missed to air this drama....and maybe a time like that might never present itself again or anytime soon😭😭.... like I always am hopeful that oneday we might get it as long as we are alive and kicking, anything is possible and I deffinately dont mind clowning until then....but I have to wonder on the what ifs sometimes....

Even if Immortality airs eventually most likely it will be extra heavily censored, episodes cuts, no promotions( no hillarious and memorable interviews😭😭)....and will we even get the juicy behind the scenes anymore????.....I will take the drama regardless of all these changes or whatnot....but I just cant get it out my head that Tencent missed the best time to air Immortality before all the crazy unnecessary bans on Bl adaptations.

I also think they are afraid of this...these dramas are getting internally fight from the inside....I just hope someone with common sense who is apart of NRTA or have some top influence and or power can end this stupid restrictions and bans!!! ITS SO FRUSTRATING!!!! AAAAAWWWWWWW
