I picked Hotel Del Luna as one of my votes. Man-wol seemed to be a strong female character throughout most of the series. I love her and the story. However, after seeing the whole story I have to question the way most of us see her. Was she a really strong character? OR Was she actually much weaker than most perceive her? For a starter - It took her 1300 years to begin to be a better person or even attempting to be truly understanding. This alone makes me wonder if i should have voted for this series as a SFL. What are your thoughts? Do you think she was strong or not?

Excellent actress and i hope to see her in many lead roles in the future.

It seems strange to see that so far he isnt listed in a lead role after an excellent performance as Feng Bufei. If i
remember correctly he also stood out in Queen Dugu.

The last time i watched Love and Destiny it was available on Viki.

Excellent performance in Su Yu. She's talented and I look forward to seeing her in a main role again.

Why is this actress not getting any main roles? She was excellent in The Ugly Queen.

Love and Destiny is my favorite love story of all time from any genre, category, culture, etc. The series story as a whole was very good and a favorite even though it had some room for improvement. I really liked Ling Xi & Jiu Chen's story and imo there is no better story of love out of any I have personally seen in tv or movies.

I felt similarly in the first few episodes but I changed my opinion quickly and she is among my all-time favorite characters. I really like Ling Xi.

Only one character seriously annoyed me in this series because he could have been much more imaginitively written. Imo Jing Xiu could have been made very interesting but he was written very cliche. If they had developed him in a more creative way and made some minor adjustments to other antagonists the story would have moved from excellent and among favorites to best in genre. Perhaps greatest of all time.

Oh... i apologize. i didnt catch my mistake on Nirvana in Fire... i meant the same one you talked about which was 2 :)

If I am really into a series i prefer them to be long. i know some have trouble with very long series so i understand what you are saying :) Cdramas can be like you describe hit or miss lol but they are not alone in this attribute Lol :) 1 quick and somewhat related Example - A person may have 10 thousand channels and still find nothing interesting to watch LOL

Seems like a good list. Thanks for taking the time to share. I havent seen all of the series you have mentioned yet. Nirvana in fire is recommended by many people. Still watching story of ming lan and it's really good so far.

There are 2 that i really liked not mentioned here.

Legend of Fu Yao (fantasy/adventure/lite romance)

Love & Destiny (fantasy/action/romance) similar world to eternal love but imo a much superior story in almost every way.

Neither of them is for everyone but i really liked the story, most characters, and acting in both series. They are 2 of my own favorites with general similarities to what you were already trying to watch here.

The first part of the series was the best part for me but most everyone seems to prefer the beginning of second arc and later. I struggled through to episodes in the mid 30's before i stopped and havent decided if i will ever finish. At the beginning of the 2nd life i admit it was pleasant but becomes disgusting as it progresses. Imo the main story at middle of 2nd life is disturbing at best. End of 2nd life and early 3rd has much to do with selfish feelings of the male lead and nothing to do with love. My reaction and thought is very negative about this so shouldnt be treated as anything but an opinion.

This is one of my favorite series of all time. As with many cdramas the ending was too brief for my taste but otherwise imo yes it is a good ending and not draggy or boring.

Hmm is it technically yes or no? Lol She is one of the antagonists and appears throughout the series. In a sense she does eventually get what's coming to her if that helps you feel a little better :)

Imo There is no amount of remorse or anything he could do to make it up, ever. He should have stopped pursuing her especially with her having no memory. That has been adding to my disgust. I continue watching anyway. Im probably in a big minority feeling this way and i apologise. I am not saying that to be antagonistic to you or anyone reading.

Completed Love and Destiny and it is an excellent series.

I'm more than half way through Eternal Love. So far i think the story is somewhat bad but not boring. The acting and production is excellent. It may be worth a watch to many but at the moment imo not the rating it holds.

Some Spoiler beyond this point.

I liked Ye Hua at first but changed my mind. After Su Su i am against his involvement with Bai Qian. Yeah ye hua has her child but he also failed Su Su so horribly. Commenting further will be a lot of spoiler and some ranting. So i will just leave it at that for now. Perhaps my opinions will change upon completing.
