While this is not web series, it's worth a shot, especially since it's a winter sports, which is rarely done. Take Off (Korean movie!) "Take Off" is centered around the joy and sorrow of the first Korean national ski jump team. I really enjoy this a lot!

I watch this for the ML, and while the story itself is nothing great, what makes it worse is the ending. I really did not like the "sacrifice" part, just like you say! Like you, I finish watching too LOL...
