He clearly wanted to tell him yes but backed down and told him to do what he wanted. Best part is they juxtaposed that with Kazuaki trying to make his girlfriend jealous but she brushed it off too. They both tried to use the others emails to make their significant other jealous and failed.
I'm curious what she could mean by that as well. It's not like Kazuaki is a super macho guy. He's presented as masculine but very considerate of her feelings so I don't get it. It's not like she's taking the lead if he doesn't initiate. Then again, we've only seen things from Kazuaki's POV so far.
