The production quality is very good, the directing is well done plus the cast are doing a wonderful job at portraying their characters. It's such a shame that the script and especially the script progression are so lacking!
It feels like they're wasting all that time without really moving forward. These entire seven episodes feel the beginning of a part 1 but the is supposedly drama ending in two weeks. Despite the promising start, I felt so bored that I skipped throughout the entire 7th episode.
It always sucks when a drama seems to have all the ingredients but missed that most important one. Unfortunately once more, a drama has been added to the long list of dramas with such a lovely cast but a terrible script.
The ending....the ending 😭 I am not satisfied with this open ending, but I loved the overall drama itself. It has been a while an action drama had me this riveted. This drama once more reminded why Jun Jihyun and Kang Dowon are such powerhouses in Korea. They completely captivate you when they on screen.
I especially have a weak spot for actors who can tell a whole story with their eyes and who can make yearn and Kang Dowon fits that bill completely. As for Jun Jihyun, previously I had only seen her in comedic roles. Tempest showed me this other facet of her that had me equally impressed. Actors with a good script like this, keep me hungry in wait of their next projects. Hopefully it can live up to the high bar they set with this drama.
Seeing three episodes at once made me so happy. Thank you Disney+! Love the cinematography and the cast is wonderful. It's unlike any saeguk I have ever seen.
Excited for this drama! just saw that Seohan is also part of the cast. As someone who knew him back from his debut in KNK I am so happy to see his growth and succes. He's been through a lot
So happy to see Rowoon again on my screen! I've always been captivated by his acting. I love how he portrays and conveys emotions of through his various characters. Like with Rowoon, with Shin Ye Run one could say that they are two solid actors, whose talent gets overshadowed by their visuals. As Ye Eun has had the ability to let her talent shine through Jeongnyeon, I look forward to seeing what Rowoon will show us in 'The Murky Stream'. I am hopeful for many new opportunities for both!
Am I the only one who feels like the writing kinda went downhill as the drama went on? The Ming storyline dragged…
Nope, I highly agree. I don't know how they'll wrap it up in the coming episodes. Since it was a webtoon I am leaving some hope for a happy ending but I also feel let down by the writing.
Personally I felt the lack of romantic interest from the fl and I dislike how they have written her body language during the intimite moments. From a drama that combined aspects from modern times, I am disappointed by the lack consent and or at least a hint of interest from the fl. I am sorry but just closing one's eyes just doesn't cut it for me anymore in 2025. Another comment mentioned that the age gap of the actors may be a reason. Perhaps it's a director's choice but I also feel let down.
The reason why I don't like age gap between the main leads is because they ALWAYS give us weak kisses:(
It's sad when the chemistry doesn't fully translate into the kiss, because indeed what the hell was that?!!
I know both of them can do better, maybe it's just a creative choice by the director? Plot wise I also not really feeling her attraction to him. I know it's a saeguk, but the lack of consent in her body language is killing the vibe for me. I am really questioning the directive choices because initially the chemistry was so good. Now I don't know how they'll fix the story in the last few episodes. It's disappointing when a drama lets you down like this.
There is something about a man in a white shirt that just does something to my insides....a tailored white shirt…
Him standing there in the kitchen in that white shirt, casually sipping on his drink....ooof 😍 Seems I wasn't the only one who noticed. What you're saying rings so true.
You literally posted all the dramas I loved. The scripts were unique and her acting was wonderful in each one of them, but I guess everyone has different tastes.
