Although I didn't have the same opinion on the outcome of the drama I will say if I watched this when I was just starting to like K-drama I would have loved it. I respect your opinion and am glad you liked the drama.

Liked your summary, can't decide on how I truly feel about this show without trying to compare it to another drama. I liked how you were confident about liking the marriage trope because lately, I've seen a lot of it but not many opinions on loving the trope. I'm a fan of marriage but mostly forbidden love, I loved to see these two tropes come together in this drama.

Great that you appreciate the storyline and other things about this drama, just wished people didn't rate this show based on the death of one character but instead rate it for what it had to offer.

Basically No, you don’t have to watch the original since this drama does a good job of explaining the whole strength family thing so you don’t necessarily have to watch the original.

There’s no need to call the actress ugly. It’s all about how she portrayed the character and she fits the part. I kinda understand from your perspective since when they announced a sequel would come out and the line up came later. I didn’t really like the actress at first but after the trailers she grew on me quick. But seriously no need to call the actress ugly!

I understand what you mean and In real life It can be tiring but I personally feel like her smiling “all the time” add to her character’s personality. Nam Soon is portrayed as a bright person who likes to smile so I don’t think making her less bright is the way to go. Besides I like her smiling I think it add a bit of charm to her character.
