See? Kim SeJeong is indeed the perfect fit. It will become more obvious once it premieres. She not only has the looks and vibe, but she possesses (pun intended) diverse acting skills and experience.

This is a tvN drama, so unfortunately it's unlikely for her to promote on Running Man. If I have to guess, it…
Weren't there tvn promotions in Running Man? Even in Whenever Possible, there were also tvn promotions. I remember they even make jokes about competing with each other because of the timeslot.

But either way, that's sad. Still, maybe she can guest without directly promoting her drama. 😆

isnt that high school action and this one villain to unknown actress , time travel is the same. More towards reverse…
Yes, but:

- key lady figure possessing a body in the present
- she's a villainess; HSQ is a very strict queen as good as a villainess to her enemies
- both have a notorious male character they are in a love-hate relationship

Those are the main keypoints as far as the synopsis is concerned. It's the plot. Think Marry My Husband (2024) vs. Perfect Marriage Revenge (2023) and Business Proposal (2022) vs. King the Land (2023). The MC are different but it doesn't mean they're not similar in plot.

😁🖖🏽

Title We Are All Trying Here Spoiler
Damn, what an episode 6. Just an incredible episode. What even was that episode? It completely broke me. I loved…
They already hinted it has to do with his daughter. However, not a clue yet what exactly happened that broke him that very bad.

They're still building him up, and I think they also don't want his heartbreaking story to take the scene from the leads yet. I think it was a good decision because he remains a mystery. We know he's very deeply broken but at the same time we know he is fighting to live.

He is the very character of people who are deeply broken and thinking of ending their life but at the same time they are doing their best to live.

And his brother, despite his own problems with life, is holding on to ensure whenever he attempts to end his life, he can save him. They are those family members and friends that surrounds them who are often taken for granted. Despite having problems of their own, they do everything to survive so they can support their family or friend who wants to cross the line.

Keeping him mysterious that way also helps in keeping a character and relationship about depression and suicide, and their support. A reminder that depressed and suicidal people are actually fighting for their lives, and their support are equally important in the process.

That they too are crying silently for help. Not just the support around them.

Kim SeJeong was supposed to be appear her fellow I.O.I members in Running Man E801 but she texted that her schedule is filled up. Safe guess is they started filming High School Queen already. Or at least she's preparing for her action scenes, so probably on strict training schedule.

Hopefully she'll appear later in RM for their promotions. It would be fun to watch how RM will reinterpret HSQ. 😆

Title Running Man
In E801, Kim SeJeong was supposed to join them bet she's busy. No doubt she's filming High School Queen since that's her latest project.

Would have been cool if she was able to join the episode. Maybe we'll see her once they're in the promotion period. LOL. It would be very funny how Running Man reinterprets HSQ.

Title We Are All Trying Here Spoiler
E06
Episode 6 of 《We Are All Trying Here》 brings the meat of the story to the front and center. If you ever felt that the story is slow, this is the episode you have been waiting for. The catch? If you skipped episodes and/or scenes and/or watched in higher speeds, you will definitely miss the emotional pact and of this episode and the entire story.

You see, episodes 1 through 5 all leads to episode 6. It primes us to be "in the zone" once episode 6 hits. Without a solid foundation that can only come from watching episodes 1–5 at normal speed, the writer's message will not reach us.

A good example is the "Unknown" emotion—which I believe to be the main plot. It will not make any sense or impact without the foundation from episodes 1–5—especially for people who never experienced that emotion. In fact, even for those who did or.are experiencing the "Unknown" emotion, most wouldn't be able to identify with it. It truly is rn "Unknown" emotion.

And the way they named this emotion in episode 6 is how it finally connects to people who had similar experiences. But for those who have not experienced it, their only connection is if they watched episodes 1–5 properly.

This is what episode 6 is all about. This is why it was set up this way. For me, that was brilliant writing. And I cannot say anything with the already brilliant acting by the lead actors. It was as if they too realized that they once felt the "Unknown" emotion. Viewers, with a similar experience and not alike, are drawn in with them.

It appears that Shin Ye Eun will not be taking on this project unfortunately. She was reported to be in talks…
As much as I like Shin Yeeun, she doesn't fit for the Queen. She lacks that fierce, macho look which the main character requires.

Also, I doubt her agenci will allow her. They are very strict in crafting her image as the girl-next-door. Jumping into full action, and somewhat "bully" character, won't sit well with them. They won't even let her dance in variety shows. LOL. That's how they overprotect and control her image.

I’m really glad they offered this project to Kim Sejeong. she was the first person who came to mind when i saw…
Yeah. I hope she accepts it. She's the best fit for this.

I have a two theory for the ending, it's either the young king will step down and let his uncle rule the country…
The story is about the Grand Prince and Hwiju. The Korean title is "Wife of the 21st Century Prince". So, whoever sits on that throne doesn't really matter. The kid can stay, and the Prince remains as regent, while Hwiju as the Prince's Wife and the king's in-law.

Everything else in the story are just plot devices to help the Prince and Hwiju fall in love for real and eventually get married for real.

I’m hoping we get more information on why I-An is the regent because the uncle being regent is common in other…
It's a Constitutional Monarchy, so it doesn't really matter if the king is a baby. They're just figureheads.

Is it only me who think same kinda scenes are repeating in kdramas nowadays. Why people can't be more creative…
Because that's what the audience wants. ^_^

Look at Rimance pocket books, it's all the same. Rich "somewhat bad" guy who is well-toned, and so on.

Look at Webtoons, dungeon superhero character that started as trash.

Look at Mangas, some unwilling victim is kidnapped to another world.

Look at Tdramar, it's BL and GL aed Palace romance.

Look at scifi in TV and novels, it's a grand scheme of space exploration and invasion.

And so on.

It os not about a lack of creativity or innovation, it's about what your target market wants because you need to sell your work if you want your career to be your source of income.

Yes, it always come down to 💰

I wish official translations follow the Korean government sanctioned "Revised Romanization".

The character's name is 휘주 (Hwiju) not 희주 (Huiju/Heeju). Different pronunciations. Different names. And often also different meanings.

휘주 (Hwiju) means regal jewel.

I rarely watch modern Cdrama fantasy because I grew up watching them here in the Philippines, but this is one of the best modern ones I've watched!

It's the Chinese Dungeons & Dragons, epic high fantasy love story that transcends space-time.

Totally worth it.

Title Reverse Spoiler
Ep1–2
So far it's very predictable. Too many typical twists and plots and scenes.

The dangerous thing about this approach is they're luring in the audience based on curiosity. Since it's predictable and the usual tropes, the audience is now expecting a very big twist. If they fail to deliver, well, expect low ratings because of a massive disappointment.
