Hey hey Moonies!! Time for the 3rd anniversary rewatch!🥳🥳🥳Drop your thoughts for episode 4: What If???
Poor TTJ being hated and mistreated from the moment he was born, especially by the person who should have loved him the most. Not understanding emotions might have been a blessing in disguise at that point, because if he did he might have turned evil and bitter much earlier in his life.

It's interesting how quickly LSS went from wanting to kill him right away to wanting to understand him better and figuring out what turned him evil in the first place.

It's not that he doesn't talk to humans, but no one makes the effort to talk to him. No one tries to get to know him or have a decent conversation. Everyone just projects whatever they want on him and treats him based on that prejudice.
Hey hey Moonies!!! Apologies for the delay, but here's your cue for the 3rd anniversary rewatch!! 🥳🥳🥳Drop…
It really shows what kind of values and morals LSS was brought up with, because she is so conflicted right from the beginning even though she just went through an incredibly traumatic event. Her mental fortitude is also very commendable.
This was a very lovely drama. It's a bit silly and doesn't take itself too seriously, but at the same time manages to have a very emotional core. It ended up being a nice blend of dark and funny. I really enjoyed it.
The first episode is definitely one of the most memorable first episodes I have ever seen. The character introductions…
The contrast between the ultimate power he had as the DG, to the point where he was just playing around with all those immortals like a cat with a fly and the weak and helpless TTJ who is bullied by everyone around him is so jarring that even LSS is confused.
While this drama definitely has its flaws, overall it did manage to entertain me.
For me, the biggest problem was the worldbuilding. There was barely any. So you're basically thrown into a story that takes place in a world with no structure.
The core of the story is the main couple. Everything that doesn't revolve around them plays out in the background, so the conflicts and the stakes don't have any dramatic impact. It's not the most "exciting" drama I have ever watched.
I did like the main couple. Admittedly, the FL is miscast. I won't go as far as to say that she did a bad job, but she doesn't have the screen presence or the charisma to pull off a character like this perfectly. The ML, however, was perfectly cast.
This was one of the dramas that I was absolutely anticipating this year and it did not disappoint.
Every cast member did a great job portraying their characters. The story of the novel was adapted really well and the progression from a lighter story to a darker one was done gradually and naturally.
After almost three years of being entangled with this beautiful drama, I finally got to read the novel. Everything else aside, I just have to say that the ending was like a warm blanket. It definitely healed the part of my heart that broke for Tantai Jin and Li Su Su.

The character introductions are impeccable.

Lu Xin is definitely among my favourite characters.

Overall, I really enjoyed watching this.
