Sometimes I just need Ding Yu Xi dramas to heal me from those typical stiff ahh male leads in dramas, no one can compare to him in those subtle yet exaggerated almost animated expression that he does.
The multiple "accidental" kisses are PMO, theyre awful and I hate the director for that its even more horrible that none of the characters seems to remember that it even happened in the first place. Its so annoying the romance progression is weird and some character just do what they want idk anymore atp
Literally woke me up, slapped me across the face and made me realize that Kou is just some brat with extra trauma and emotional baggage. Trust me i loved the manga to the point i'd defend it with my life, keywords here "-ed" I DID love it but now im not so sure. did I love it because i relate so much with Futaba or did i love it because im still a teenager at the time and was struck with my first edgy anime boy phase. Who knows, anyway I will not be nearing any of authors works in the future.

I dont hate the trope if its done right esp where the Main leads are actually "attracted" to each other and sml isnt just some baggage to the plot development. But this is like the worst of the worst I liked the first half of this ngl🥲 but it gen fell off from there (never seen any fast paced love triangle that can still keep me hooked other than GTG,also the leads unfortunately cant save this drama)

No need to force yourself to watch a drama, dont put unecessary pressure on yourself🫂. Personally I would reccomend checking out the novel first, very shorts just 30 chapter and its just as good as the donghua and drama, with the donghua it goes deeper and more detailed plot wise a little slow paced as well with more episodes. The drama on the other hand is more detailed with the background character and backstory of the plot, Both is good or maybe try the vertical drama version ? I've heard theyre great (havent watched them though). Do try whichever click best for you ✨

The main leads really does the heavy carrrying in this one honestly, and I agree the 40 caps is def limiting for dramas with multiple timeline like this one but it could also be bad directing and screenwriting issues because there's a lot better paced drama who has more complicated story than GTG, also under 40 eps with better pacing than this mess😵

Logical? Eh not rlly imo, the plot itself is nothing too heavy anyway. It focuses on a journey for ML and FL, whose clan has been known to bring misfortune so they try redeems and fixes the previous generation "mistakes", it will lead to HE eventually ( there will be one point where ML does the most illogical thing simply cuz FL asked him to, like if it was that simple why didnt she asked him earlier, And why did he even do the "thing" in the first place just to cancel it cuz FL asked for it. Its ridiculous HONESTLY.
7/10 Angsty-ness, nothing too extreme still fun and exciting at times. The emptiness feeling is inescapable icl the last few episodes especially, it feels rewarding for all that angst in early eps. Hope you give it a watch just be wary for rocky start (the post-production team, esp editing in the 1-5 eps is rough, its for the intricate worldbuilding and chara intro so its understandable atleast.) I can assure you It'll get better afterward, and have fun watching it
