Gun is not dumb imo. He is very observant of people around him. He just masks his struggles/feelings/trauma behind this cheery/insecure persona so I dont understand how is he similar to Arm in any way. Yotha is not possessive like Arc was of Arm what you saw in this episode is just his defense mechanism against "losing Gun" its well established that the guy has severe difficulty in dealing with messy situations/circumstances in a proper way given the shitty upbringing environment he was brought up in and on top of that getting into a toxic relationship with someone much older (he literally got gr00med) so in this episode we are given a look at his "definition" of "apologizing/making up with Gun" he thinks a mere request of getting his tie tied or a peck would be enough for Gun to forgive him such behavior is not liked by Gun himself and even his own brother called him out for being "out of touch" this also parallels with Gun telling him that "his outlook on life is bad" in an earlier episode in contrast to Gun or even Faifa who due to their upbringing deal with situations in a better manner hence why you also see Gun confiding into Faifa more but chooses to still put on "this mask" towards Yotha with all of that again I fail to see how he is "completely" similar to Arc. All four characters imo are very different and their dynamics as couples yes might have some similarities between them after all many relationships are similar but are not a "complete copy" of each other. Regarding the "at least that first one was funny as hell" well no one said that this story/arc will be funny many novel readers in here pointed out that this arc and even the one after it are "heavier" in the drama aspect compared to the first arc. The series imo has been overall solid tbh regarding all of its arcs so far so no need to pay attention to these "fanwars/comparisons" imo just enjoy the show and critique/praise whatever you dislike/like about it!

I believe he didnt fully forgive him yet...he knows thats how Yotha thinks "its enough to make up with him that way" hence you see his dejected reaction after Yotha kisses him and then invites him for a walk on the beach to "talk and sort things out"...

In the novel when Gun realizes his feelings and confesses to Yotha, Yotha says that he likes him too but he wasn't sure if it was "love" he just knew that his feelings towards him were "special". At first Gun is okay with this and actually wanted to give Yotha time but when he learns that Yotha/Warich were dating he becomes insecure thinking Yotha still has feelings for him and then Gun tells Yotha so just "take some time off" from hanging out together so that Yotha figures out his "feelings" so during that time they will be both basically depressed and yearning for eachother later on Yotha basically tells Gun that "cant imagine his world without him" he still doesnt really define his feelings but Gun feels it through Yotha's actions and from their they date smoothly going into their second year on uni as far as I remember.

Its just too lazy and cheap imo Another 2 things in the episode that bothered me is the scene where they are getting changed infront of the dresser you see Gun going through many shirts only to see him in the same freaking shirt in the very next shot? like what was that💀 The other one is the entire yellow pyjamas scene sequence as brilliant and heartwarming the dialogue and shots were what was up with the sound mixing? It felt like Santa’s mic was turned up way higher than Perth and the surrouding noise was weridly drown out for some reason.
I am so happy that santa's acting isn't really cringe as I had thought it would be.
His protrayal is even more subdued than the novel🤣 but I get it not everyone would like Gun as a character (personally I think Gun is very precious lol).
Another solid episode! It establishes the changes happening in YothaGun's dynamic really well things like Yotha just becoming more talkative, laughs more around Gun, straight up calling him with his nickname infront of his friend group and asking him to tie his tie for him (in Ep 10 this was different he would straight up ignore him) and also being more straightforward with his feelings like when he told him that he would feel more "at ease" with Gun being around him when he meets new people (he doesnt outright admit it when Gun teases him but its a step up lol). Another shift in this dynamic is basically Faifa confirming to Gun that Yotha does want to get to know Gun "better" hence why he gave him that "profile form" to fill in EP10 and another instance is when he sends Faifa to Gun in the cafeteria to tell him about what he is always "up to" in that bar it shows that Yotha cares for Gun and is letting him into his closed off bubble through other ways too (using Faifa/that form) and not just letting Gun having to do all of the breaking of these walls that he have put up around him initially. So many heartwarming moments like Gun telling Yotha that he wants to make him smile and laugh more not only when he is wearing the printed yellow pajamas but just in general and gestures like inviting him to meet his family and spend time with them bragging proudly about them to Yotha and we all know it comes from good intentions since Gun knows and can feel that Yotha yearns for such affection and its his mission now to just make Yotha experience that and thus become happier. I like this contrast shown between both of them when it comes to talking about their wishes/ feelings (aside from Gun crushing on Yotha as he still doesnt fully realize those feelings yet)...we are shown that Gun is straightforward about wanting Yotha to be more happy and about wanting to have more friends meanwhile we are shown that Yotha thinks its unnecessary to make new friends and expand his social circle especially in the department he studies in despite his fellow colleagues/Gun/Faifa wanting him to do so instead he only ever wants to "talk" to Gun and doesnt really bother about breaking out of his bubble. The episode again highlights why for Yotha someone like Gun is different and maybe thats why he is interested him (yes looks wise Gun is Yotha's type) but things which made Yotha open up more to Gun is that despite all of his faults/issues Gun is not judging him like the students at school, his older brother and his circle do instead Gun assures him that he understands his reasons but at the same time he fails to understand what "good" will this bring to Yotha (as we have seen in the cafeteria scene) I think this made Yotha appreciate Gun's way of thinking more and really cemented how much of a good-willed/natured Gun just is (Yotha straight up tells him that he would be sorry if he ever disappoints him🥺) this alone shifts the entire dynamic between these two showing that yes friends can be concerned for each other's well being but YothaGun's concerns is not that of "two friends" but two people who see eachother as more than "just friends/roommates" (albeit Gun still not fully realizing his feelings to Yotha as of now yet). Yes Yotha is flirting with Gun constantly but he is testing the waters and you will see later how reluctant he will be once Gun himself fully realizes that he wants to be more than just a "best friend/ roommate to Yotha (expect a lot of dilemma/angst in the upcoming episodes). The chemistry is just too good between Perth and Santa throughout this entire episode and I dont just mean the scenes were they are close together/with skinship (like that waist grab in the bar scene or when their faces bumped together in front of that dresser, and the bathroom stall scene all were brilliant of course) but what stood out to me is the Cafeteria and Congee "date" scenes...the dialogue and acting were just very good...these two actors are really good with their tonality and eyes (cant wait for the more dramatic parts of this story I know they will nail it).
PS: Newton, Nop, Warit and Klao circle is one big toxic mess so no wonder Yotha turned out that way too (yes his dysfunctional family played another major part in that too).
