Zi Ang‘s actions pre time skip are understandable, post time skip … yes, but also no. No person is worth genocide.
I don’t think it’s genocide though. He conquered the kingdom while explicitly ordering no pillaging and no killing more than necessary. Sure, war isn’t great but the people were dying anyway from the drought and he ended up helping them after the south kingdom was annexed into the north.
Even SH love that 💩 of brother way too much despite the abuse why idk 😅
lol yeah, the crux of this drama is predicated on the fact that everyone loves Shu Qian, even when he doesn’t deserve it. At least in the afterlife it’s shown that he changes.
If Ziang had continued to hold Shu He captive, his final choice would’ve been more justifiable. But they were planning to leave the royal life.
I guess his final choice was driven by the fact that Ziang was dying anyway. So instead of continuing his life without the people he loved, he decided to end it, thereby also balancing the scales with Ziang. In his view, Ziang wronged him, so Shu He took his revenge with his final act, and in the afterlife they can begin again with a clean slate.
IMO though, Ziang’s actions and choices were pretty understandable most of the time. Whether Shu He was worth it, is another question lol
Aaaaaah, they really said let's go with 'EVERYTHING IS BEAUITFUL & EVERYTHING HURTS' for the ending. lol But…
Agreed, Shu He didn’t want to be the emperor and wasn’t good at ruling, the people were about to rebel against him. Also his brother was about to kill him on the bridge. So to act that Ziang committed an unforgivable sin by killing his brother and annexing his kingdom, is being disingenuous. He never seemed so focused on family honour while he was a prince, but I guess for the sake of the narrative, his character underwent a change.
Watching paint dry is more exciting than this couple, another boring and unfunny series from GMMTV.
Company stans and anti stans are lame af. Creating sock accounts to hate on series is such jobless behavior fr. Are you the same one who was trolling in the My Magic Prophecy comment section?
The crown prince and Shu He truly were brothers, their pride was too high to surmount.
The crown prince was too blinded by jealousy, pride and paranoia to see that the people he cared for the most loved him too. Shu He, in spite of knowing that he did not have the capability to be a good king and seeing with his own eyes that his brother’s death was caused by self-defence, could not let go off his dynastic pride and the shame of his defeat.
They should’ve showed Huo Ying and the crown prince in the afterlife too. I’m pleasantly surprised the series stuck to the toxic love and didn’t default to the green flag love interest.
I wish Shu He’s actor was better, the emotional scenes would’ve hit harder. Overall, the story was great while the romance was a bit stiff, but enjoyable on the whole.
On episode six: The court machinations and complex character dynamics are hitting hard! Only wish the acting was a bit better, the emotions would’ve been even more touching.
The tragedy of the crown prince: he has everything he could ever want, he has the love of the people who are closest to him, but his mind is so clouded by jealousy and pride and distrust, he is unable to receive that love.
Also, the casting for the guest star playing Thap’s ex is good because it plays into Thap’s type, which the characters on the show have already discussed. Thap’s type is sweet faced boys with soft energy lol.
This show hasn’t dropped the ball in a single episode, every week it gets better and better. In contrast to most Thai bl shows which have filler scenes, this show actually needed more episodes than just 10. The investigation for eg mostly happened offscreen, it would’ve been nice to see it unfold. Like the whole parent murder subplot and why Kasidis is trying to kill his wife and the doc etc.

Tuo and Junxi are adorable together and Tuo’s degree of pining obsessiveness adds an element of spice to the overall sweetness of the story.
Another one added to Taiwan’s list of awesome bls.

Why does this series comment section have trolls lol, it’s such an inoffensive show.
