This is a character driven, slice of life series, showing vignettes of friendship and fluffy romance. This is NOT plot driven, nor is it trying to be so. This is NOT reinventing the wheel but taking us on a sweet, peaceful journey. Viewers should understand the type of show they are getting here, it’s simply meant to be comfort watch filled with adorable characters, an amazing friend group and cute romances.

Yeah, he absolutely does feel insecure about losing his top dog position. But showing the peak of his insecurity over the “sexiest man” award loss specifically instead of the supporting actor award loss in the manga, it’s just more superficial.
For me, narratively I’m not fond of the way they dragged it out so much. The pace dropped and it felt like a boring filler episode. Advancing some more plot points would’ve made this episode more interesting. Like maybe introduce Johnny already and show his first meeting with Akin, thus setting up the next plotline.
This episode was boring, esp after the amazingness of the last episode lol. Akin caring this much about the sexiest man award is not convincing, in the manga he cared about losing an acting award.
They should just stick to the manga scenes, the extra padding they’re adding is not very interesting anyway.

Acting is very naturalistic. Fou4mod and Bua were honestly two sides of the same coin. Dramatic, clingy yet stand offish, annoying but ultimately cute lol. Baabin was just cute. Chian was frustrating in the beginning but did come through by the end. He clearly already liked Fou4mod by episode 3 and then was ready to go steady by episode 4, just scared. Heesu is annoying but also cute. I like a slow burn and the bl story is moving at a perfectly fine pace. I don’t get people wanting the story to move at a break neck pace, yet they also complain when the couple get together too soon and the “spark” is gone. A well told development takes time and angst followed by fluff is super satisfying.
The het side story in this episode is boring af, really don’t care about those two. And it’s not just because it’s a het couple in a bl, the couple in Keita Hatusuki for example were adorable and fun.
