I liked it because it was something different. Personally I like slice of life kind of stories, like Meet yourself the cdrama is my type of show. So it suited me I didn't mind that there was no real plot or a lot of action or suspense. I found the start was good, laid a nice foundation, but I can understand if you found the start boring, glad you liked it after.

Damn, didn't realize it was that tall, thats really tall, surprising, I'm now going to have to pay attention to their upcoming scenes together in the drama and see what their heights looking like

yeh honestly he played it so well. He was suspicious at the start but like you said didn't add up and he just seemed so loyal it made you want to believe he was good. Then when he turned his whole demeanor changed, totally different vibe. And yeh the last conversation was so good, so well acted. I think he will have a big role, especially going off the character chart. But I feel like he will appear quite late for some reason.

Oh yeh I didn't mean he would blame her for the fire, I didn't word it well. I mean because ML's organization has a feud with FL's demon world already, saying they are like fire and water, that would probably lead to a misunderstanding between their organizations with them caught in the middle type thing. You can already tell FL's being pressured by the elder demons and stuff, so I think allying with someone from their enemy organization wouldn't go too well. So I just hope that doesn't lead to anything major.

No problem, wouldn't say prequel though, because in the novel, they hadn't actually met before they were engaged. It was an imperial decree. So more like same timelines different universe 😂 just a different start to their romance

Yeh the novel is completely different to the drama. The novel is pretty much a slice of life story of ML and FL's married life fighting demon here and there. Super short story only 100 chapters. Quick read. It's the same world, same characters, but some characters have different personalities/appearance, for example Wu Zi Shu in the novel is described as a middle aged, homeless looking man. And ML and FL are engaged from chapter 1. So same characters, same world, some of them have the same personalities but different story.

I think they will. They didn't in the novel but I remember seeing a really angsty trailer that seemed to show misunderstandings between them, and I feel like they're setting one up. Hopefully it doesn't last too long.

Yeh no I agree, I don't like when the kiss scenes are like robotic or it's like a wooden kiss. From the trailer looks like a proper kiss but we'll see.

Honesty don't know they set a bunch of rules too limit longer dramas for some reason, and now they lifted a bunch of rules to help promote longer dramas.

Yeh honestly, I see a lot of potential misunderstandings coming, his parents dying to a demon during the fire, where ML comes from having a feud with FL, hopefully the misunderstandings are cleared up relatively quickly. And same about the third wheel, praying we don't have two at the same time. And yeh, first third wheel seems destined to take the old rats advice and go done the wrong road then die/sacrifice himself at the end to show his regret and repent for what he's done. I so see that happening.

destined is really good, I also liked her in joy of life, wasn’t the fl but thought she played her role really well

that’s true I appreciate them going more in depth with the bone and it actually having a proper story with that lantern

100% he was described as like middle aged and homeless looking in the novel from what I remember, since he's young and good looking in the drama, definitely forcing a love triangle. Plus I wonder what they will do with her cousin when he appears
