The scene in ep 9 of Qiao Lin and Xu Yan walking side by side, joking around with flashbacks of Qiao Lin taking care of FL during childhood, with FL also cracking a couple genuine smiles, was so nice. It shows that FL's wall around her heart towards her sister is coming down slowly. The difference in how she treats her parents vs sister, shows deep down, she knows her sister truly does love and care for her, and she also is beginning to acknowledge that. It's clear FL has a soft spot for anyone that has shown her genuine love and care. While her parents never did, her sister did. So while she is ok with cutting off her parents (as she should), she still has a soft spot for her sister and it shows. In ep 9, their dialogue as they walk, the smiles FL shows, FL telling her she is welcome to eat with her and come over more, pretty much saying she wants to spend more time together, demonstrates that she also does loves and cares for her sister, because she knows her sister cares for her as well.

I know some people find Qiao Lin annoying and that's ok, but I really loved their dynamic in ep 9 and hope it continues to grow throughout. I hope Qiao Lin can be the big sister Xu Yan always needed. We see in ep 9 how not only when they were younger, but also in the present Qian Lin cares for Xu Yan. How she consulted a lawyer about the possible repercussions of Xu Yan's lies and tells her she supports her, is so sisterly and caring. The joking around and tips Qiao Lin was giving her about making sure Shen Haoming falls in love with her and all that, was very sisterly

Maybe Xu Yan is starting to realize that besides her grandma, when she was young, there were others like her sister who also appreciated and loved her. When times are tough and things are dark, it's very easy to not notice or realize the love and affection some people are showing you. I think in ep 9 the dialogue showed FL does like to be around her sister and hopes to have that sisterly connection. And Qiao Lin for her part, has always loved her sister and cared for her, maybe sometimes she hasn't shown it in the best way, but we see in flashbacks it has always been present.

Its pretty much confirmed they will definitely divorce one way or another, then ML will realize his mistakes and chase her back.

Yeh 100%, but slowly you can see FL opening up again to Qiao Lin, especially in ep 9, really nice to see her let her wall down, I just hope when things start to go wrong with ML, Qiao Lin can be there for her. I also hope we see a scene of Qiao Lin confronting her parents or something like that, would be nice to see her sticking up for Xu Yan.

They are already growing closer in ep 9, we see another flashback of their childhood, and it shows Qiao Lin taking care of Xu Yan. I think a lot of people blaming Qiao Lin for their strained relationship but from flashbacks we've seen she has always loved her sister and cared for her and Xu Yan also knows that. It shows in the difference between how FL treats her parents vs sister. FL still cares for her sister and remembers the care her sister showed her when they were younger.

Oh no the ep 14 preview, its happening, already so painful yet I'm also so excited, maybe I'm a bit sadistic.

In an interview ZLS talked about how her character Xu Yan thought thought Shen Haoming was able to give her the love she lacked in childhood, she thought he was her rock and was determined to marry him no matter what because of that. Only to find out while she thought she was the praying mantis, Shen Haoming was the oriole behind her the whole time, she was just his pawn.

It's evident that FL's love is real, even if the methods she used to attain it aren't truthful. Where as, right now it seems ML is just using her for his own goals, maybe he does love her deep down but hasn't realized it yet, or maybe the whole time he's just been acting. I also think it's important for FL's development for her to realize she can flourish on her own, she can be her own rock, doesn't need anyone else. Only then can she enter into a healthy relationship whether with ML or anyone else.

ML I also believe has trauma from the past. I feel like we have only seen FL's perspective so while she uses manipulation, we sympathize with her because we understand her past and pain, and she's is just trying to seek out the love she never got from her parents. But for ML we haven't seen that yet, so can only judge him based on his actions. I hope we get more insight into his own past, I'm sure he also has been through a lot. I don't want to judge him without knowing his past and reasoning.


Can't wait for all the secrets to be out, but it's going to be so brutal at the same time.

Yeh I saw that preview as well, I'm praying because it's only a preview that theres some other reason he's late and not answering the phone and he will show up soon. Like they just want us to think he's with Fang lie when they're different scenes, thats what I'm hoping. But like also on the air calendar we see the emoji with a heartbreak so I'm so anxious about what's coming.

Yeh same, seeing her shine with nothing to hide, starting her own business and healing for the past will be so nice. I agree, like I know deep down ML won't cheat with her, but I get seriously nervous anytime she's on screen.

I feel like it would make more sense if the break up came from her you know, but yeh I agree, the scene you mentioned she doesn't look angry, honestly they both have such complex emotions hard to tell what will happen 😂 I agree, looking forward to them both having no more secrets, I think watching then work together against others will be so nice to see. So tense, we know eventually everything's going to like explode with all the secrets coming out, just don't know when 😂

I feel like the break up will be more her wanting to break up, not his choice. I think I read somewhere its a mix of her ex coming back causing trouble, Fang Lie causing trouble, finding out ML's known the whole time and been playing with her, possibly some of ML's secrets like his kid, and her just wanting to stop living a lie, be true to herself, take off her mask, so she decides to start fresh. So I think a mix of things, and she just reaches a breaking point, where it's too much and she realizes all the lies have caught up with her and ML is not the person she thought he was. Thats what I think, and really looking forward to her being true to herself without a mask and ML chasing her properly once he realizes his true feelings.

I love twelve letters, favorite drama of the year for me. But you're right a lot of emotional trauma but also some very cute and sweet moments and does have a happy ending. Mobius also very good, I wrote a review on it if you're still deciding but its a bit long 😂both good choices

Same here, I can't wait, when they have no secrets, and work together to destroy the evil characters will be great haha I've seen him in a date with the future and someone else, I like him, he's very underrated. I agree, him and Zhao Lusi work together very well.

Hahaha not silly at all, I agree the drop was very poor no promo or anything, also at 10am in china which is a horrible time. Glad she and everyone else involved in the show has proven them wrong.

Shared some data last time and some people found it interesting so here's a bit more for those that care:

On day 2 (September 27th) yunhe reported 40.12 million daily views for that day, coming in second. This is a really impressive result for day 2. The heat index reached 28k that day. Yesterday when the heat reached 29K I expect somewhere in the mid to high 40 millions for views, another increase. Drama's usually take way longer to get to 40 million (with many not even reaching), so this is very impressive for day 2.

Just for information, for a show to get 30k heat usually needs around 50-55 millions daily views on yunhe. I think it will definitely get there, just a matter of when.

But again, these results for day 2 are very impressive, breaking 40 million views on day 2 is huge, and I expect yesterday's viewership (day 3), to be even higher, inching closer to that 50 million mark and 30k heat.
