I wonder if we'll get express for this on Sunday like iqiyi sometimes does, releasing express just before the singe episode days. I'm really looking forward to who squid is and how the ending is going to play out.
I know some people saying BJT's character was too hero like in ep 1, and I get that. Recent police cdramas have been a lot more 'grounded' for sure I totally get that take. But the action in ep 1 personally reminds me of old school Chinese police movies, like with Jackie Chan in police story, where they use to show the Chinese police as almost like super heroes being able to fight like 20 v 1. I do agree I hope they don't go too over the top, but ep1's action was the right amount for me, really reminded of Jackie Chan in old school Chinese police movies or even rush hour.
The director mentioned in an interview that they used 'Hong Kong' style action for this drama, which was often similarly used by Jackie Chan and other old school Chinese action movies. So I think thats where BJT's almost over the top fighting sequences as a cop comes from and why some people may not be used to it. Hong Kong style action was used a lot back in movies from 70's, 80's and 90's but is not seen as much in modern day cdramas.
Man did exactly what I would do with that ability, get rich, get good results on exams etc. I like how they added that instead of going straight into I'm going to use this power for good blah blah, they showed him using it for himself first. Really realistic (as realistic as it can be for a fantasy show 😂). Also low-key wasn't expecting as much comedy but I thought it was pretty funny
Just noticed they got the detective from Reset, love Liu Yi Jun, in Reset and GODF, and Song Jia Teng was also in reset. Love to see it, while I don't follow either actor, when they appear in dramas they always play their role really well, constantly see them pop up here and there.
Can I say? This comment section is not-so-lowkey ruining the drama for me, so much so that I had to put it on…
100% agree with you. I really enjoy talking about the drama with others in the comments. Talking theories, positives and negatives, things I love and things I wish were better. But in these comments it constant fan wars, either toxic haters or toxic die hard fans, its ridiculous for the people that jut want to discuss the drama openly. No drama is perfect, yet some people like to act like this one is.
Besides all this politics talk, we should be talking about how great Jun Ji Hyun is. She's stunning and her performances are always top notch. She disappears for like 4-5 years, returns, gives us one or two bangers then disappears again. Rumors of her and Ji Chang Wook being in a drama together (after their movie colony), I am praying it's true. Would be such a good pairing.
Its getting review bombed for mentioning Iraq I think, similar to how When the phone rings got review bombed for…
I agree, as far as I can tell, and someone mentioned this to me in reply to one of my comments, in ep 3 they mentioned Iraq briefly when discussion the bomb under her seat, this upset quite a few people. If you scroll down in the comments a bit you will see arguments regarding Iraq. In my opinion, the mention of Iraq in the show wasn't bad but I guess some people felt offended.
As far as I've been able to find in episode 3 the ML mentions he worked security in Iraq in 2007 and that he's…
Thanks for the info. Not to be offensive to anyone but that does sound like kind of a throw away line that doesn't mean much but I guess like you said, mentioning the Iraq war is a big no to people from Iraq or middle eastern countries. Hopefully, they make no more mention just so everyone can enjoy the drama together without any toxicity.
There's no denying it, Lee Chaemin totally shut down everyone who doubted him before the drama, myself included.…
He's great in this. Just my personal opinion but I think he's more suited to the role than Park Sung Hoon. Nothing against Park Sung Hoon, but not sure I can picture him in this role, I feel like he's more suited to the villain role. No doubt he could pull off the scenes where he needs to be intimidating, but would have felt weird to see him as the guy falling cutely in love with the FL. Just my opinion, maybe I'm too used to Park Sung Hoon as the villain but Lee Chae Min pulls off the role really well.
I might have missed it, but when exactly was Iraq mentioned and why are people taking offense? Why the review bombs? Not trying to be disrespectful, this is a genuine question, what was insulting/disrespectful when they mentioned Iraq?
