Rewatched this after my crazed obsession with it back in 2019. I fell in love with it all over again, even picking up on little nuances I failed to pick up earlier. Very special drama and continues to be one of my fave kdramas
Rewatched it after a year and everything just seems that much better - the chemistry between leads; the acting; visuals; OST; and cinematography. After watching an unhealthy amount of dramas during this pandemic era, HDL just seems just that much more impressive than when I first watched it. IU and Yeo Jin Goo knocked it out of the park
Currently watching "It's okay to not be okay" and the female lead reminds me of IU's iconic "Jang Man Wol" - now rewatching HDL, and I see now how IU and Yeo Jin Goo were just the perfect casting. Their acting and visuals is top notch. HDL still my fave.
Absolutely love Ji Chang Wook and was looking forward to his pairing with Kim Yoo Jung. But their drama sadly didn't hook me in like I thought it would. I may come back to it once it's finished airing.
Nice visuals and ost but had to force myself to finish watching it til the end. Good chemistry between both couples. IMHO this was definitely overhyped, but I get why it would appeal to the kdrama crowd who love cheesy romcom and lotsa emo scenes...it's a winning formula, especially with 2 good looking actors
There is a reason this is one of the most well-loved, highly rated and most-watched dramas of 2019. It surpassed my expectations and overtook Reply 1988 and My Mister as my top K-Drama, and that's no easy feat. Brilliant cast, acting, OSTs and story.
Favourite drama this year and second only to My Mister overall. I laughed, I cried, held my breath, swore, experienced many heart-fluttering moments and marvelled at the level of acting, cinematography and aesthetics. Watched this for IU and ended up becoming a fan of Yeo Jin Goo. He's no flower boy by any means but he's so much more than that - super talented and very charismatic. The OST is right up there with Moonlovers and Goblin.
