Chun Suk-tae [1980s], played by actor Jo Doek-hee, prosecuted of Gong Ji-chul at his trial. Chun Suk-tae [present day], played by actor Choi Kwang-il, is Chun Jong-bum's father (not biological but adoptive).
I've only just started episode 15 and I believe the woman sending text messages ['you will kill the person you love'] to Chun Jong-bum is Jang Hye-mi, Baek Sang-ah's mother -- (Baek Sang-ah is engaged to Kim Soo-hyuk). Jang Hye-mi (if I remember correctly) is an author. She is also the individual that 'sponsored' and set up Chun Jong-um in the rooftop apartment; a room she had cluttered with distasteful 'art' which Chun Jong-um took down immediately afterward. Is Jang Hye-mi trying to provoke Chun Jong-um to murder so she can use his actions in her writing? Also, Jang Hye-mi (actress Wie Ji-yeon) is in both timelines (present day and 1980's) but I don't recall her character (although she looks like the lawyer that represented Gong Ji-cheol at his trial) . Is that why she knows who Gong Ji-cheol is.
I honestly don't remember where the kid come from. Heck, I don't even know what her relationship is with the couples…
The kid is Cha Eun-chan. He was adopted by Eun-dong's father Cha Man-jong, and was an infant when Cha Man-jong was thrown(?) off the hospital roof by a cohort of Choi Joon-hyuk.
A few details about characters -- The couple living with Eun-dong and Eun-chan are Kong Young-sim and Bong Seok-goo. I believe Kong Young-sim raised Eun-chan while Eun-dong was in prison. When Eun-dong was released from prison Young-sim and Seok-goo were married and living in Eun-dong's home with Eun-chan.
Choi Joon-hyuk's little sister (sporting a new face -- extensive plastic surgery) just returned to the Choi home. Her name is Choi Joon-kyeong. She was a high-school classmate of Eun-dong's who, with her teen cronies, persecuted and beat up Eun-dong in high school. I anticipate a lot of antagonism from Joon-kyeong once she sees the concern and interest Han Ji-hoon has for Eun-dong (that is, once Joon-kyeong recognizes Eun-dong as her former classmate) because Joon-kyeong seems infatuated with and has spent a lot of time trying to meet up with Han Ji-hoon (who would be her cousin by marriage not a biological cousin). Boy! What a tangled mess, lol.
Gonna make a wild prediction but what are the chances that the kid in Eun Dong's house is actually Tae In and…
@StellarFlower It's been revealed that Hye-won had an abortion (unless she was off somewhere and had the baby). Also, her ob/gyn said she was infertile due to damage to her uterus. However, the scenario is feasible in this type of makjang drama.
