Thank you! i've seen shows were it's all about problems and misunderstandings and stress all the way until the last 5 minutes when main couple finally gets together before the end.... ugh!! Thanks very much for confirming that this is not what viewers are getting!

1- does the main couple really get together only until the end?? no romance, no obvious or unspoken "i like you, you like me, we like each other... we are together... kind of vibe... but cannot make it public and official until the end"? Sorry for asking... "romance" is tagged... but if this show is one of those where there's very little sweetness or there's just a hint of romance all the way through and then BAM they end up together at the end.... and one watches this show for the other plots... i would appreciate knowing in advance ... Thank you again in advance.
Is this enemies to lovers since she once was He Ruo Fei (im only at ep 2) also when he finds out she was He Ruo…
In epi 4, ML finds out He Yan is a girl. In ep 29, ML learns that the FL was HRF.
Epi 1 starts with the ML suffering due to HRF's betrayal. However, this is not an enemies to lovers story because the leads spent years together during their childhood (?), teenage and military years when the FL was the "young HRF". In fact, I think the ML's father might have also help (military) train the FL too; the ML's father bestowed the twin swords to both the ML and FL (as HRF).
there are three stories revolving at the same time actually - When I Fly Toward You, First Frost and Hidden Love.
Thanks. I didn't realize that all 3 novels are from the same author. Also, I just noticed that another one of the author's book "When I Meet the Moon" might be airing next year...
There are no languages listed in auto translate here
hmmm.... in the US where I am... at the bottom right side of the YouTube screen- there are two little icons. [1] click "CC" to turn on the subtitles (the CC will show a red underline). [2] click the little wheel for "settings"; then click "subtitles / cc (1)"; then "auto translate "; then scroll down to "english". You must do step 1 before step 2 shows as an option. If you start with step 2, all the other languages will not be available.
3 yrs ago... I'm afraid I don't remember where I watched it with good subtitles (at least good enough so that I don't remember problems with understanding the subtitles). That said, I just did a quick search and found this link for MangoTV English , but you have to set the English subtitles in "auto translate" mode .... i hope the translation is good... good luck!
An undeniable fact about this show... there is plenty of air time amongst Gong Jun (Simon), Liu Yu Ning and Dilraba Dilmurat !! .... If you are into these 3 leads... enjoy! I do not believe this TV show is their best story or the best script or even best directing-- yet one gets to watch them most of the time in most of the episodes-- unlike other series where obsessive wannabe the girlfriend/wife or wannabe boyfriend/husband, antagonists, secondary characters take up a huge chunk of air time.
But I don’t understand how when none of the actors are the same and the parents house is not the same.
Hidden Love was aired almost a couple of years before First Frost. Later when FF was produced, both Sang siblings were casted with different actors, locations, etc. Changing locations and actors is a common practice, especially with secondary/minor characters. In HL, the Sang brother is a secondary character- who later became the lead male in FF. Meanwhile, while the Sang sister was the lead female character in HL, she only appears (a few minutes each time) as a minor character about 3 times (?) in the brother's love story in FF. The baby sister is basically a guest role in FF. I don't know the reasons for the changes by the time FF was produced, but in general, the executive decisions to change casting and locations for many shows/movies may be due to actors/actress availability, fame/popularity, timing, fees, etc.
I just read your Q. This is late but... First Frost (FF) and Hidden Love (HL) are about the two Sang siblings.…
LeeNYC did you check out my "reveal spoiler" (right after my replay to you about netflix and before your last response)? I hope some of those suggestions work...
For anyone trying to decide which one to watch first... First Frost (FF) and Hidden Love (HL) are about the two Sang siblings. FF is about the older brother's love story starting in high school. HL is about the younger sister's crush starting in middle school when her brother and one of his roommates (the crush) are in college. At one point, both love stories are happening at the same time in different cities. After watching one of the TV adaptations, I read both books. Beautiful poignant journeys and love stories. HL is a happier and cuter story while FF is darker and not fluffy. There's no need to watch these in any sequence because each story is self contained. HL was produced and released first. In FF, both Sang siblings were casted with different actor/actress. Truly highly recommend both series!
***** SPOILER ALERT. DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO FIND OUT ENDINGS.
Both stories are more about the the female leads journeys to their happy endings.
i am shocked that this has 32 episodes??? since WIFTY and HL only had 24 and 25 😆 anyway, is this a melodrama?…
