My heart belongs to Kim Yu Ri and Kim Yu Ri ALONE.
It is so nice and refreshing to see a female lead be bold and aggressive about who she is and what she wants. Kim Yu Ri decided "I'm going to trap this man" and the blunt confident way she went about it. What an icon. What goals.
The 2/3s of this drama? AMAZING. COULDN'T LOOK AWAY. ANY MOMENT I WASN'T WATCHING TV WAS A MOMENT WASTED. THE CHEMISTRY. THE HUMOR. THE UNHINGED COMEDY. 10/10
From Episode 12 on? "WTF is this shit?" "Why do I care about these other people?" "FL PLEASE GROW A SPINE FOR THE LOVE OF KDRAMA." I was actively hoping someone would stab the ML. Actively. All the love and delight I had for the Male Lead was completely squandered in episodes 12-16. There were few to no redeeming qualities about him and the fact that the Female Lead stuck with him during/after this time made me dislike her more than him! Then all the terrible things that the Male Lead has done got resolved in like 0.00021 seconds....I hope they break up.
Lee Shin-Ah before they get together: "He is the DEVIL. I shall KILL HIM WITH A HAMMER" Lee Shin-Ah after they get together: "Oh he's doing these terrible things to other people bc he is SAD and RICH TM? LMAO ISN'T HE A HOOT? NEW YEAR, NEW ME!"
It was really impressive how quickly a drama went from 10/10 to 2/10 in about one hour.
I was having such a great time with this first half of this drama, then the whole wedding plot line got really messy and confusing, then it was good again when the filming of the reality tv show started and now it's back to "this is bad"
It's a damn tragedy because the drama had SO much potential and the MLs have great chemistry, the side characters were fun to watch. It feels like the writers just couldn't nail down a cohesive plot that made sense and the kooky funny early scenes have become this weird tense sadness.
