Derailment is her first drama that proves she is truly excellent at acting. Most casual viewers who watched the drama were surprised by her performance because she is a newcomer. She basically outacted everyone and did a great job portraying all the emotions the character has, which are very heavy and complex, yet she managed to deliver them well. I have to agree with you, because her acting relies heavily on a strong script like in her films so that she can truly shine. Heavy scripts filled with emotional scenes suit her well, such as wuxia. I also really hope she can get such roles in the future, but it doesn’t seem likely in the near future. It appears that her agency is currently focusing on mainstream dramas for her after doing idol dramas for the past two years.

yeah, I noticed that too. the editing team in this drama is so bad, sadly. if it wasn’t for the good chemistry and the OST, i would've dropped it, haha.
