Only a few seconds, but it was precious moment with nuanced acting... make me to rewatch the scene several times.

Definitely frustrating! I also want to make a point. In the scene where the Cheng family visits the emperor, while the CSS sits across from the emperor and the empress, answering their questions and chatting with them; I was too busy disbelief at how her mother turn that soft, light, playful and warm atmosphere (while the three of them are happy with each other) into icy and gloomy air every time. The emperor and his wife love the girl's answers, praise her, look at her affectionately for her cute behaviors, but for all same things, her mother constantly interrupts them and keeps telling emperor to forgive them for not educating her well/ the disrespectful answers she gives etc. How frustrating it was. She should at least know how to read the atmosphere and stop spoiling it when things are going well. But the way she looks at her daughter is so troubled that even the emperor and the empress see and appreciate the shining aspects in her in a small conversation, but all this is not glitter but tar for the mother, that's why she can't even perceive the loving atmosphere there. How strange and frustrating her attitude was.
Right! 😵 While I expected the scene will continue with a few word changes or some interactions between them, they acted as if that scene didn't exist. 😑😭
