I completely agree. I used to like those slop novels with systems and then I grew up. but I have hope this will still be good because unlike novels it hasn’t been done a million times already. I ended up loving love game in eastern fantasy which is a cdrama that incorporates a system.

that’s not what a system is in this context. a system is like a robot entity that gives its ‘host’ I guess tasks to complete and objectives with rewards and punishments.

I don’t think reborn rich was even based on the manhwa. I thought both were based on a novel.

I know my parents make it a point to not play favourites. sure cps has other priorities but every child deserves fair parents…and I did acknowledge he could be worse but that doesn’t make his behaviour any more acceptable. if I punch someone and then I’m like but I could have curb stomped you so it’s not that bad that’s insane assault is assault. I agree it’s a waste of energy though - her internalising his abusive behaviour is doing her no favours because it has nothing to do with her capabilities or actions and can’t be changed , he’s just chosen to be a bad father.

good writers give their characters (yes even side characters 😮) some depth.

He is obligated to give her the same opportunities if he wants to be a fair father? but he chose not to do so and that means her resentment is fully** valid because a good parent is fair and every child deserves a good parent - they didn’t choose to be brought into this world. just because he could have been more** abusive doesn’t suddenly make his behaviour not abusive. playing favourites is emotional abuse which is just as harmful as physical abuse. I understand this is just a show but viewpoints like yours are dangerous in real life.

I really liked the first few episodes but like others have said, it’s a little repetitive, which sucks because the acting and direction are amazing. I might come back to it later though.
