I agree... absolutely no "kan cheong" moment and I'm watching it with one eye open because it is really quite boring lol

I like ZLY and WYB but I find the story so boring and none of the side characters or otherMLs are interesting. The editting isn't done well with strange slow-mo scenes, flashbacks which seem out of place. I don't like the soundtrack either. I just finished ep 46 and the bad guys seem to keep getting away with everything while the good guys are always 5 steps behind. It would be nice to see the main characters act quicker and be more intelligent but the pacing is killing me but I will hold onto the end since I am a ZLY fan. I am use to watching much more fast-paced, climax-filled dramas with epic soundtracks so this is definitely quite the opposite. I hope the last couple eps will be more exciting and satisfying. I definitely cannot see myself rewatching this drama unlike PA or even HQG which I felt were much better plot-wise.

I have watched all of ZLY's shows and she looks amazing here! I think she looks even younger now than before she had a baby! I cannot tell the difference in age between her and the ML. The story is a bit dry and slow. I find I am watching and drifting to my phone and surfing a lot. Side characters get a lot of screentime and there are a lot of flashbacks. I wish there were more ML and FL scenes...I am only on ep 10 ao hopefully things change. It's definitely more boring than ZLY's other shows but I will keep watching. The Wolf and Legend of Xiao Chuo were much more emotionally engaging esp The Wolf which I binge watched in 3 days haha. There are some fresh and unique character developments though in Legend of Fei but it doesn't make up for the strong urge to fastforward! Overall it's maybe a 7/10 for me but definitely watching it for the ML and FL, not quite the storyline :) Hoping it gets more interesting!!

I agree, I don't understand why it is so low. This show is the best c drama of the year. The acting was incredible, it deserves a much higher rating.

I have to rate The Wolf as one of my top 5 C-dramas. Darren was so captivating to watch and he had some really complicated scenes but he portrayed them perfectly. I am now a fan and I hope he has more costume dramas!
