confusing synopsis

so he is the son of a high up who was murdered in war 16 years ago and while he was investigating to find out what happened, people also tried to have him killed as well? and the Mr qi is the guy who put him onto looking into what happened to separate him from his uncle? and changyus father went to war with his father and thats why they were murdered to try and cover their tracks?

really enjoying this. there is just one thing im confused on... the politics. my comment below is my question.

im on episode 4 and so far i really like it! I think both main characters are very likable. I am excited to learn more about xie zheng's background.

this isn't the show for everyone. i've seen a couple of comments saying that it's cringe and duang is over the top, but that just means this isn't the show for you and that's fine but don't harp on other peoples liking of it. I personally find it very cute and yes duang is a little over the top at points but thats just his character, but it still enjoy it a lot. not every drama needs to be mature to enjoy.

I agree. I think they improved him from the novel. he was cute in the novel but they made him even cuter in the show which I appreciate.

binged watched all 5 episodes so far and I love it. its super cute and funny. I adore duang's cute personality and I think they made him cuter in the show than he was in the novel.

was good but not great. it did get a little bit boring at times unfortunately but still a solid 8.

lower honestly. the ML is pretty popular id say and has been in some really good things.

but then the whole synopsis is wrong thme lol. thats why it makes no sense.

edit - lol they changed the synopsis now. but the original stated he was deaf and lost his memories in his accident which was super confusing.

i am confused. why is she acting like she doesnt know him? at first i thought maybe it was a flash back and they hadnt met yet and the first part of the show was like a flash forward type thing but she has his pen and he has the burns so that cant be right. wasnt he in the accident and lost his memory? not her?

im on ep 18 and the second main leads are breaking my heart. i am proud of my girl Xiao Rou though. i dont think people understand that it was all piling up on her. you might think she left very abruptly, but she was lonely. her husband was never home, and was prioritizing work. which i do get, he wanted a better life, but she just want her husband. and to not only find out that he was lying to her constantly, but that he even forgot their 2nd anniversary and didn't even go out to by her a gift but gave her a gift someone else gave him. he may love her, but he wasnt prioritizing her. he was sneaking around and lying. even if he didnt intend to cheat, and that girl did kiss him abruptly (you can tell he was surprised when he pulled back) but that he didn't even tell his wife what happened to reassure her, but waited until she found out herself. like i said, im only on episode 18 so idk if they work it out and get back together but if they do, i just hope he changes.

like I fully sobbed the last 1/3 of the movie omfg
