Good points. And yes, some, I've also felt. I'm sorry if I'm oversharing again😅 but let me share some of what I used to reconcile me to LSS.😅
1) she did feel guilty about that, see the convo b/w her and Jize after she was almost killed by YBC. "If you owe the world, you must owe TTJ. If you owe the world, you must owe TTJ." Basically Jize was saying if she wants to save TTJ then she'll doom the world. His fate of being DG is inevitable, and so is their destiny together, which is not being together.😥 It was a lose lose scenario for both of them😥.
2) idk, so far with what I've seen in the xianxias I've watched (journey of flower, ashes of love, blue whisper, and LBFAD), our FLs do tend to do things by themselves😅 without the consent or knowledge of the other person (the surefire formula for very angsty stuff). They also tend to have this thing about "hate me before I die so you can move on quickly" when the other person obvs couldn't (=insert images of TTJ in nether river here😭=). That sometimes makes me roll my eyes, but it makes for a great angsty feel. That's what LSS did, I think. After the failed nailing, and Jize giving her an idea of the divine essence, she didn't say sorry for not nailing you and proceeds with the making and sacrificing of divine essemce without any word of remorse coz she's going for that angle. Plus, let's end our destiny together here, hence the I wish we won't meet in any lifetime. Mind you, if the heavens really granted that wish, we wouldn't have had the DG sacrificing himself for the good of all and we'd just have the carnage of ep.1. (Serves you right, immorons)
It's the same with the immortal arc, i think. She's like, I thought I said I won't see you again, why are you here?!?! And she's focused on the Heartless Way when they reunited so she had to stay away (for a while. He's too gorgeous to resist🤣)

But yeah, for most of the show she had been alternating between killing him and not killing him, and I understand the indecisiveness of it coz I am that indecisive too🤣🤣🤣 and because i think she also doesn't understand what love is until she lost it. (The novel stated that explicitly, i only understood that after a few rewatches. Wait, should I have left you alone to rewatch by yourself?😅)

LSS did have second thoughts about TTJ, at the early episodes, when she understood how hard his life had been, there were some internal dialogues about killing or not killing him. It all came to a head at the bridge episode after the water festival flying thing they did, when she aaallllmost told him about her mission (Nian Baiyu is such a spoiler). But after the porridgegate as we refer to it here, as YXW said, she can't risk the fate of the world with the slight hope that the Devil God can be good😭
In the immortal arc, LSS has the evil bone, and she still has to take care that the Devil God won't rise again, so she had to ignore her feelings for TTJ to succeed in the Heartless Way and become a god to really make sure the world will be safe from the DG.

I don't know what constitutes domestic violence tho, if emotional violence is also included in the criteria.😅 SJ was not physically hurt, but the 100 years of ignoring each other COMPLETELY should have broken SJ to the point of demanding 100 years of marital s*x without his consent (he was really immobilized by that drug).
He only came to appreciate her (i won't call his feelings love, they don't deserve to be called that) when she took care of him for seven years after being injured in the war of gods and devils.
Novel MY was infinitely more cowardly than drama MY.

I've thought about TTJ having someone else, someone simpler or something.... and nothing comes to mind. I mean, at the beginning, he really was hated by everybody, no matter what he tried (he tried being like Xiao Lin, doing everything his brothers were telling him to do, like bark like a dog). Blame that on the evil bone in him, of course, as it feeds everyone's resentment and evil thoughts towards him so the Devil God can rise from the accumulated power. Given that disadvantage, who else immune to the evil bone could approach him? No one else, except someone with a pure spiritual body who os unaffected by the evil of the evil bone.
Why not another immortal? LSS herself mentioned somewhere that even her father was indifferent to the problems of the mortal world, so she couldn't ask for their help during her stay 500 years ago. So what immortal was present during that time in the mortal realm? No one else.
(Typing this makes me think the immortals had it coming at the beginning for this indifference🤣🤣🤣)

At the rewatch, we've had the same thoughts too😅 that she continually misunderstands ML at the drop of a hat, example, in ep.8 where FL punches him for killing Lan'an,ep.21 where she says all those hateful words to him, and even at the very end, it was frustrating to watch her NOT say the words he desperately needs.

For me, I blame the FL's flaws blamed on :1) the script. I get it, 40 eps is too short to characterise her fully, and to uplift the ML and emphasize his growth and redemption, some things have to be thrown under the bus. Hence, FL being inconsistent, as well as some characterization for the 2nd leads (especially the wrapping up of the 3rd leads' story😭😭😭). I personally felt the drama should have been her story too alongside ML's especially as she is the only one who can ascend to be a true god and defeat the (Ancient) Devil God's evil plan. Sadly, that was what we were served. 😔 oh well, better that near-perfection than being shelved infinitely (poor HYX).
2) the length of a drama. Unlike the novel, we could have more insights on why FL was acting that way, as it can be explicitly or implicitly written there. Unfortunately, with a drama, no matter how excellently acted (and Bai Lu is the BOMB🔥🔥🔥) the acting and its intentions is entirely up to the viewer to interpret. I saw her differently, you see her differently, many others see her differently, and yet she was acted by one person.
Weirdly enough, the frustration was exciting for me as it piqued my curiosity and my imagination about LSS and her intentions (independent of the drama). Masochist much?🤣🤣🤣
Soooo in conclusion, we're still friends🤣🤣🤣
