My rating literally went up as soon as they mentioned the watch lmao I was afraid it was going to be a plot hole

Lots of blood and violence throughout the show. And one bed scene, although its not explicit or has any nudity.

They have the same screenwriter and the stories is maybe set in the same universe, although I’m not sure why that drama is added as a prequel to this drama.

What's even more funny is that Gina Rodriguez wasn't exactly a 23-year-old in the 1st season of Jane the Virgin either. People are just coming up with dumb excuses to hate on this casting at this point.

I absolutely love how natural the leads’ relationship buildup is. You barely get to see kdrama where the leads meet through a blind date for the first time and not through an unrealistic amount of ‘coincidental’ situations like we see in most romance kdramas.

Ashile Sun has to be unarguably my favorite historical c-drama ML ever. I don’t usually notice too much about MLs in c-dramas because the ones I’ve seen were quite cliche-type but Sun was just… a beautifully written character. So strong yet so vulnerable at the same time— I love captivating MLs like that.

I think the drama you're looking for is 'Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru'. You might have already found it though.

I seriously don't care who Na Bi ends up with in the end though. I'm not a fan of her character so if she were to end with the toxic dude who's not even trying, then whatever. But if she builds a brain and chooses to try a relationship with her childhood friend, then also whatever good for her. I feel like the whole love triangle situation is not even the point of this story. It portrays a complicated relationship between two complicated people, and that's about it. She just somehow bumped into her childhood friend and I think that guy's nothing more than a tool to progress the story.
Y'all are too engrossed into the love triangle without even being made to (like True Beauty), considering how I'm sure everyone of us hate that trope to bits.

Just as I guessed. I'm so thankful the writers didn't decide to go the classic route and give Jae Eon a redemption arc. This guy isn't improving for sh*t. He's now turned into a clingy obsessive a-hole towards Na Bi, believing that's making him a better person just because he's no longer fooling around with many girls at the same time. The 6th episode tried to explore the relationship between Na Bi and Do Hyuk and Do Hyuk's character, but I feel like it wasn't done well. I still don't feel the spark, and comparing to the rest of the characters in the show, Do Hyuk seems too perfect that I keep looking for a character flaw that would make him more interesting. Btw, I'm shocked that not a lot of people are realizing that Bit Na-Kyu Hyun is literally the gender-reversed version of Na Bi and Jae Eon's relationship. I used to root for them at first, but after 6th ep, the best ending of that couple should be a break-up. They're too unhealthy.
Lastly, I feel like we've just been queerbaited with Sol and Ji Wan. All their conflicts have been solved and now I think we're to believe they were only two best friends who were having their ups and downs and that Ji Wan is just a possessive best friend towards Sol. How ridiculous, this better not be it. My rating's gonna flunk down to a 2 if we are indeed queerbaited in the end.

I personally don't like the idea of shows having seasons because the plot often becomes draggy. One of the biggest reasons why I became a fan of K-dramas on the first place is because of their 16-episode format. But to each their own, I guess.

I'm happy that this film is getting a drama remake since although I enjoyed it, the movie felt a bit rushed. HOWEVER, at the same time, I feel like this year's movie remakes (this and Hometown Cha Cha Cha), the recent abundance in serialized k-dramas (Penthouse, Uncanny Counter, Taxi Driver) and etc. will be the new trend and I seriously fear that. This better stop soon, SK.

You can really tell Korea's film industry is eventually running out of ideas :) Before we know it, we'll be getting remakes of popular dramas from early 2010s soon. Tragic.

I don't think Jae Eon's gonna have a redemption arc. In these 5 episodes, Jae Eon was basically a manipulative f*ckboy but although he probably has developed actual feelings for Na Bi, I think he's going to become into an annoying clingy possessive guy judging from tomorrow's ep preview. I sure hope I'm right, because it's about time romance stories, where a mentally damaged guy is suddenly healed with the love of the female lead, stopped. And since this is supposed to be a 'realistic' romance, I suppose they won't give Jae Eon any unrealistic redeeming qualities.

I literally had the same thoughts! I never tried speaking out about True Beauty relaying a totally wrong message about inner beauty and self-confidence because I just knew that someone would come attacking me. For something that's literally titled 'True Beauty', the drama totally forgets about its main issue-- promoting inner beauty-- and rather focuses way too much on a dumb love triangle (or a square, even?). I'd waited the entire time for when the FL would actually learn to embrace her true self rather than acting like someone she isn't only to 'fit in' but in the end, it never happened. All the drama ever cared about was the stupidly dragged out romance.

I love the summary of this drama already. It's definitely fresh take on stories that revolve around K-pop idols, and I love how this isn't just another idol drama about rookie idols struggling to become popular (basically the reality show 'Produce 101' but with fictional ppl and backstories). No hate to those shows, but we def needed this genre to be explored a little more and this drama already sounds interesting. Hoping it doesn't disappoint.

It isn't. TVING dramas are like netflix originals, which means that they'll air the whole show in one day. As for this drama, all 8 episodes will come out altogether on 16th July.

Among the 3 main characters, Soo Hyun's undoubtedly the most interesting. There's not a lot about him shown yet, still he's managed to have the most potential as a character. Would be a total waste if the drama doesn't explore his story or give him enough screentime.
