then watch soul land then, like i said be open minded when watching this drama. Sometimes it's hard to translate something from a manga or anime into a live drama.
Enjoying this so far. Read the manga long long ago but totally forgot the plot and would recommend people to watch this with an open mind. CGI very nice, acting is great, pacing is pretty good, use of music is a bit wonky but XZ's song was used nicely in going on a journey kind of scenes. I feel 40 episodes isn't enough so I hope they actually filmed more and put it for season 2.... I hope they didn't wait to see how popular season 1 is and then film season 2 afterwards because that's not a good strategy, I mean these actors and actresses have other films to do and aren't just waiting at home to act in season 2.

Im pretty sure, Xiao Zhan being his own boss now is choosing the roles he can learn and gain new acting experience with. I doubt he's the type that would randomly choose any roles just because it's ML role.

i really hope they enjoy the drama and have an open mind going in. I have read the manga long long long ago so i totally forgot the plot and events so going into this drama in a blank slate!
so far watched it up to episode 7, I personally like it. It's my cup of tea and I like wuxia genre. I would recommend people watching it for themselves instead of letting others tell you it's good or it's not good.
