there’s a book called Marriage For One by Ella Maise that has this trope, really well written. It just doesn’t have the dark, thriller aspect but it’s a good read for the arranged marriage trope

I think he’ll figure it out, he already knows how horrible, opportunistic and selfish her mother is. He told her to stop letting others control her, and then on the phone he talked about how fake, loud, and stupid the charbols are, and they’re not worth her insecurities. So he’ll definitely not blame her plus our boy is whipped

yes, the way he talks to her on the phone repressing her insecurities, getting to her emotionally and physically by finding her on that roof… If he isn’t sure it’s her on the phone, he is definitely speculating it, you can see in the last scene the second he connects the dots, ugh the cliffhanger was too much at the end 😭
