Is ep 1 out yet? If so, where can I watch with eng subs? (preferably for free #broke)
The first episode is free on GagaOOLala.
They are running a promotion right now on their website to get 2 weeks free when you subscribe for a month ($6.99 USD since you are in USA). That’s less than a trip to Starbucks, you get access to everything, and you support the actors & production company instead of stealing from them. It also helps get more content like this made in the future by these companies.
I think I'm gonna drop this, why is there romance? They're literally family
“They’re literally family” lol they are literally NOT family. NONE of the three are related by marriage or blood or adoption. This is VERY important to know first. You can be close and grow up with others you treat like family but it doesn’t mean that you actually are and that’s part of the issue they consistently have to deal with. It’s a main part of their story, the differences between the two (family and not) and the struggles the three of them have with it (along with Dad of the century Mr. Yoon who is truly amazing all the time).
If you’ve seen the source show Go Ahead, you know why it’s romance but that happens a little later. If you have not seen it, it is absolutely worth the watch as it focuses on every aspect and every character moreso than this one (at 40 dvd or 46 streaming episodes, it is a beast to binge). This SK remake has definitely been keeping in line with the source show, just with less of the extra stories and details. But the romance will be there just wait a little longer.
Ahh nice comment edit. Thought you might be talking about that service. When I looked it didn’t show a total episode count for me so idk. I also didn’t know Heavenly was legitimate and official. Thank you for telling me.
Ah. I wasn’t aware it was officially streaming on any other services other than GagaOOLala and iQIYI - what is the name of the service/platform please? Edit: are you talking about on Heavenly?
I think so too but when I tried to have it corrected last week it was rejected and I was told the reason was that some other “official” site has it listed as only 8. (mod who sent me that didn’t tell me what site that was either)
Surprised I didn’t actually hate it (disliked the after credits scene in 4th episode it was not needed at all and destroys the little bit of closure we did get). I have been advised to avoid the rest of this series as they do what Ossan’s Love did so I will. Glad I at least can say I watched this.
Finally watching this after seeing it was on the Leaving Soon list of GagaOOLala
Edit: it was actually pretty good overall. A bit annoying with the communication issues after a couple episodes and really almost all of ep11 focused on a separate storyline that was overdone yet somehow easily solved lol but overall decent. 7/10 (-1 for Tae making the weird face constantly, -.5 for continuity issues especially in preparation for Japan, -.5 for communication, -1 for that manager that deserved those slaps)
I love this series but am really tired of Rosé. Ready for her to leave Jack alone. The manipulation, obsession and possession… I get so frustrated with this type of female character. But even moreso frustrated with Jack being dumb about obvious things. Jack saying and doing all the dumb stuff at this point. Ugh. Would love it if she turned out to be supportive of J & J instead but I don’t see that happening. Joke is still wonderful and loved his interaction with Top to help shed some light on things.
I want to love this show but with Paeng the ex I really can’t. I don’t understand the need to make a female ex an obsessive stalker and the males be complacent. I really love Kad and his character until her. And now that hint that the new secretary might try and go for Elyes too? I want to see how the Run storyline plays out (get him out of that relationship! Maybe pair him with Khim? So they can get a HEA?) but right now the main one I’m just not feeling because of Paeng. Hoping next episode will end that nonsense.

Either way I don’t know if it’s enough. I’m so invested in these two.
