"Key to the Phoenix Heart" is currently iQIYI's No. 1 drama in cloud booking reservations and the only…
It's painful to see... Over 300k cloud bookings and still was ignored, after all that EFFORT made and MONEY spent by kiwis, sponsors, colleagues and friends.
It seems to me like KTTPH is seen as a threat, rather than highly profitable money maker. I wonder if it's because KTTPH was made old school way with quality script, great directing, real acting and real fighting scenes ( personally done by HMH, colleagues and crew).
Regardless of budget limitation and mistreatment, this drama is still doing so well and so successful considering how little promotion it gets. The bright diamond like this cannot be buried however they try. It's an amazing drama to keep you guessing, speculating, anticipating about the plot and the ending. If you're invested, it can raise your blood pressure too.
Glaring favouritism is indeed hard to ignore. The whole process is quite entertaining to see.
Yeah, I notice focus seems to be more on FL and SML in recent episodes.
What's up with XJY comment on how Li Mao is suitable to be emperor? I want to give her head a good wobble. Is it a hint?
Li Mao may well be pretending to deceive Northern king, but I cannot wrap my head around how stabbing XWY while he was physically so weak from torture, is a necessary act. I don't buy it. XWY and Li Mao having sort of normal conversation after all that just threw me off. Then felt relieved a bit when XWY said he can no longer tolerate him, does he mean it? Only 4 more episodes to go. I cannot see Li Mao redeem himself and play good guy (air quote "because he was pretending to fall out with XWY to deceive Northern King"), so he deserves the throne plot. That would be a very disappointing ending. I'm too invested in this drama to be traumatised like that? Just NO I mean after all the brilliant directing, acting and script writing (and OST!)for all these episodes so far, to end up like that? We have a ruthless bad ass XWY with potential miracle cure/surgery to save him. Hopefully, we see more ML focus in upcoming episodes. Episode 25 preview seems like more XWY focus, let's see. Bring on the angst!
The only promotion we get on the iQIYI international app is the mini character ads when you scroll down the main…
Maybe that's why people are calling kttph - dark horse... HMH himself thought it's going to air late July or early august, then suddenly was moved to 11th with such short notice.
Kiwis had to rush to arrange support for kttph within couple of days and still managed 210k cloud bookings - such an amazing fandom.
XWY has multiple time tried to guide LM to the right track, but based on previews and teaser, i have a trust issue…
Absolutely agree. During prison scene in episode 22, XWY thought - " I entered prison precisely to see how far someone behind all this willing to go". Is he referring to Grand Tutor or Li Mao? or both? or someone else? Who? I wonder... Majority of scenes and dialogues have their purposes, I think they are intentional.
At the end of the prev ep I didn't even realized that in prison he was writing his reforms. He was so badly hurt,…
💯 thank you. You wrote it beautifully and describe exactly how I felt during that scene, absolutely heartbreaking. No one deserve to ascend that throne more than XWY.
I've noticed something on iQiyi International platform, I'm curious if it's similar pattern happening on chinese iQiyi too.
When kttph started airing, there was another drama on homepage at the top bar which was understandable as it was airing first and I thought of course top 1 will takes that place. However, after a few days when kttph ranking goes up to top 1 (still holding that spot), that drama was still there and kttph is nowhere on the homepage. Other lower ranking dramas were there but not kttph. Now, another recently aired drama has taken that place (completely skipping kttph) while kttph is still ranking at top 1. If you don't have kttph in your watch list and just a passerby, you won't even know it's currently airing unless you scroll down fair bit to reach dramas ranking by popularity. I find it strange, maybe because I'm new to iQiyi platform.
If it's similar thing happening on chinese platform, then it's impressive what kttph has achieved so far on Data and ranking.
The one who kills grand tutor? He's not really ML's Xiao father? Right?
ML's parents are emperor and empress Wenxi of previous dynasty. The one who killed GT (prince Jiang An) was his guardian and royal to crown prince Wenxi (ML).

It's not reliable then, it should be in line with episodes rating. what a weird way of rating.
3 days wait is going to be torture .
I got that notification too, so annoying.

He might even be both handed, who knows.
This man has so much talent, except Drawing... 😅
