Lol. I always wait for the series I really want to watch to finish airing, I couldn't stand the tension of waiting a week for an episode π But to each their own.
I didn't watch it closely enough to notice all the problems people complain about, but I'm glad they didn't bleach the actors until they blend in with the walls, like in many other Thai dramas. Gods' forbid, someone could think people living in the actual tropics could have a bit of a tan π€·ββοΈ
that's the problem lot of ppl giving the easy pass because it's BL. we seriously are in need ofqueer content that…
GMMTV makes all kinds of shows, some more serious, others just cute, feel-good romances. This one falls into the latter category, so I think it's justifiable to lower your expectations.
Personally I find the sniff kisses much more boyfriend-like than mouth-to-mouth π
I never knew about sniff kisses until I started watching Thai dramas, but to me they seem to mean genuine affection, while mouth-to-mouth are just lustful (if done right. Dead fish seem more performative than anything).
Ok .i watched the first episode, I liked it. But couple of my friends gave me mixed reviews π. I'm confused…
To me it's a light, easy show you can watch as it goes, withing biting your nails waiting for the next ep. It gets less cringy after ep 1 and so far I really like it.
My favorite thing about this show is that "real couple splitting up because one side needs time to figure out his own feelings" is such an overused trope (khem khem Tonhon khem khem), and the makers just decided f**k this. Dee is all: "you had your shot, you missed it, now I have a better option. Bye bitch" and I'm here for it.
I feel you π Luckily, to me only some parts of the series were cringy and most of them in ep 1. It got better…
I mean, it's a light and humorous series, and ofc humor is subjective, but personally, I've seen much cringier shows. The non-cringy parts in WG make it worth it IMHO. But if you find it not to your taste, no need to force yourself π
Does anyone have any idea if Bright will be back as the main baddie? I know he's not with GMMTV anymore, but he could still join the project as a freelancer.
