Is anyone else confused? I mean, some parts of the show are great — the music, the directing, and the acting. But some parts are so random, boring, and confusing. I don't want to drop it, but I don't know — maybe this show is more suitable for binge-watching...I've watched up to ep7

not a fan of bailu or cheng lei so my opinion is not biased. this show is actually good so far.

I still miss this show. Years later, and nothing comes close. Tragic, beautiful, sad yet hopeful. The kind of instrumental soundtrack that never leaves your playlist, and cinematography that ruin other shows for you.

Big spoiler: He died in an accident . She realized how much she loved him and spent years longing for him. Then we learn that she actually fell in love with him the first time Fxx saw them hugging.

the ending had me in tears.sad but very beautiful.i will never move on from this show.

I've watched almost all of her dramas, and I've never found anything in her acting that's annoying. Maybe you just got fixated on one particular facial expression and you notice it all the time. I feel the same way about another actor.sometimes the way that actor smiles really bothers me. it feels so fake and out of character. other people don't usually notice that and i think maybe that's just how her face looks like while smiling. Sure, there might be something off with the acting, but being that sensitive about one thing is more about your vibe not matching with that person. Maybe you and some other people, just don't really click with her.

This show teaches you so much. It's like seeing life from above. I really wish there were more series like this one.

None of those so-called 'traffic' actors are that good anyway. Most of them have issues with basic acting skills .even the ones who are way more populer than Chen Duling.so take it easy and just enjoy watching the dramas of actors you vibe with.

In the world of C-dramas, this is definitely a short one. 24 episodes is not much for a historical drama.also Not everyone watching short dramas is looking for quick romance with lots of physical touch. there are plenty of people enjoying this show for what it is, and at its core, it's about empowering a female character.

for people critisizing this, don't forget this show is an idol drama.In this kind of show, what matters more are the fleeting emotions and feelings you get in the moment, along with beautiful scenes that are easy to clip and edit.In this kind of show, these surface-level things matter more than deep, long-lasting impact. That includes getting into the characters' backgrounds. I'm pretty sure most people watching this show don't have the patience for political dramas that explore every single aspect of the characters, like Nirvana in Fire. And this show isn't trying to compete with those anyway.For an idol drama, this show has just enough romance and an interesting enough plot that doesn't get boring.if you're looking for something more realistic and natural, this isn't for you.

it's nothing special. to me, it's far from being cheng lei's best drama.too boring and draggy.There are some small twists but nothing exciting tbh. if you actually like the story, watch the donghua.

this drama is so good ! ( old wuxia fan here ) i love that they actually use their swords to fight and the plot is very interesting so far...i wasn't bothered by the editing but it gets better after ep5

I get you. Reading through the comments gave me a headache . There’s just so much negativity and overthinking. People can’t just enjoy something without picking it apart, or at least just move on if it’s not for them.

I'm on episode 4 and the dialogues seem a bit long and boring to me ... Does it get better? Should I continue? Ilike long dialogues, but here I feel like the dialogues are unnecessarily long and boring.
