This is giving me I Will Knock You vibes all over (same director)..
Same here. When Yo opened the door for Pun wearing that red scarf, it made me genuinely LOL. That kind of reaction happened to me a lot watching IWKY. I’m now confident I’ll want to watch the whole series.
As a mere queer male obsessed with BL’s, I love how Pit Babe seems to have such a high number of actual gay actors in its cast. My favorite by far is Nut. He’s totally convincing as Way, serious and suffering with unrequited passion for Babe. However, away from the show’s restraints and appearing in stuff such as promo videos, he grabs every chance he can get to camp it up and scream his tits off, a genuine nut if ever there was one. I love him! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
All I know is if I was having a problem sleeping and Kai climbed in beside me, invited or not, offering to relieve my stress with his hands-on insomnia remedy, I’d think I was already asleep and about to star in my first wet dream since adolescence.
Just thinking………..if Pooh was playing a main role in a BL series opposite Winny from My School President, would the fans ship them as WinnyPooh? I’ve got to get out of the house more often.
If anyone deserves the name Dynamite it’s Aungpao for sure. A huge plus for me is not just that he’s so hot, he can actually act really well. Roll on March 20 when he turns 18, definitely old enough to appear in NC scenes, preferably having his clothes ripped off in a frenzy by Neo.
I can’t ever recall hearing a theme song in any BL series that I love anywhere near as much as William’s mind-blowing version of Last Twilight. He doesn’t turn 19 until February 14, which makes him younger by a few months than either Gem or Fourth! I hope he achieves the international stardom his talent deserves.
As I’m a type 2 diabetic, I really shouldn’t have watched episode 12 at all. I haven’t been surrounded by that much sugar since I rode on a train through the cane-fields of Northern Australia. The only thing missing was an end-credit saying “and they all lived happily ever after”. A far more realistic ending would have been if Night, Day and Poontang were involved in a terrible car accident while speeding to the airport. The shock miraculously brings Day’s sight back, but the bride and groom both lose theirs. Meanwhile, back at the wedding celebration, Mom grabs the knife used to cut the wedding cake and repeatedly stabs her ex-husband for daring to show up at their son’s wedding with irregular teeth and a ponytail. Meanwhile up in the sky, Mhok realizes that going back to Hawaii was a horrendous mistake and attempts a hijack. He is overpowered by two flight attendants and the plane returns to Bangkok, where the judge sentences him to ten years in prison, forced to watch endless repeats of Dinosaur Love.
Pedophilia schmedophilia! What we’re watching here is a 24 year-old adult actor playing a high-school student who falls in love with a teacher portrayed by a 26 year-old adult actor. In Shakespeare’s play, Romeo is estimated to be about 16, Juliet is stated definitively to be two weeks away from her 14th birthday and nobody’s cared about that since the 1590’s. Anyone who thinks Toki Kanade looks sexually immature needs either an eye examination or a new TV, probably both.
I binge-watched this entire series, loved every second of it. Obviously produced on a tight budget, the acting was uniformly excellent, the three storylines were beautifully written and the OST was a delight. Oh yeah - and Louis Lam instantly became one of my absolute top BL biases. All in all 10/10 from me.
I’ve only recently started watching Last Twilight and think it’s one of the best BL series ever. Jimmy and Sea are both hugely talented actors, and Sea’s portrayal of someone who is visually handicapped is incredibly good and totally believable. I’m an Aussie gay guy and just hope that LT is the enormous world-wide success it deserves to be.
The way Yim plays Jade reminds me of how Bom played Thi in the wonderful I Will Knock You. I’m guessing this might be an exaggerated style of comedic acting popular in countries like Thailand, that many international viewers find difficult to accept. Jade’s scenes in Bed Friend, one of my favorite BL’s of the year, were a welcome contrast to much of the heavy drama in the rest of that series. In this one, Yim’s absurdly over-the-top performance makes me giggle or LOL every time he’s onscreen.
I’ve just noticed how many comments about this outstanding production have been posted on here already. And I thought I was the only one watching 5555555.
This entertaining, well-written, mostly ridiculous comedy is the first BL series to make me constantly LOL since I Will Knock You. The scene in ep6 where the office women are dreading having to go on another mountain-climbing company trip instead of being pampered in a 5-star hotel is a delight.
It’s going to take at least 48 hours for me to recover from watching Mizuki put Yoh’s finger in his mouth. That isn’t just plain old chemistry, that’s nuclear fusion!
This is the most mind-blowingly beautiful movie about gay male love I’ve ever seen. Just finished the first of what I expect to be endless rewatches. There’s no question in my mind that this is literally a flawless masterpiece. I’m a queer guy who seldom gets totally lost in a movie, but this one was impossible to watch without becoming involved emotionally with every single frame of it. For me anyway, JBL are the best in the whole wide world. ❤️ ❤️ 💗
I’d like to have a guess at why this should be called Harmless Bromance instead of Dangerous Romance. Perth and Chimon are clearly 100% non-romantic close friends offscreen, who find playing convincing lovers onscreen something of an embarrassment, Chimon in particular. These two talented actors have simply been miscast. No-one would expect AJ and JJ to stick their tongues down each other’s throats, or PP Krit (one of my top biases) to play Conan the Barbarian. Please GMMTV, give P&C less awkward leading roles, with different partners.
Two things really stand out for me: Book’s excellent acting in a much more dramatic role than he played in either Enchanté or AB&AB, and just loving First and Khaotung out of school uniform and performing as two guys their actual age. One of the year’s best series, high in my personal Top Ten.
Bake Me Please 2 - the Diabetic Years.
