I have wondered the same. As far as I am guessing, DFL is just a disciple of Divine Flame Villa but it doesn't seem DFYC and DFL are from same bloodline. DFL refers to DFYC as the authentic disciple of DFV when they first meet.

I rewatched ep 19. SJ said to THH that she can either teach THH or SJ can bring DFL back to life. I wonder if that had something to do with it although now that I think of it, I think DFL was not revived until 3 years after DFYC left Tushan which would've been 3 years after THH beat SJ. So maybe THH did revive DFL.
Why don't TRR and TYY just tell DFYC? They can't hope to distract him forever

How could tushan treat DFL so well? It can't just be because of THH guilt. He gets everything for free and is allowed to call THH "HongHong". Elder wouldn't even allow DFYC to call her Hong Hong and he's had to work there to support himself since he was a child.

Omg that was my exact thoughts!!! I was waiting for them to make him work but everyone just allowed him to live freely and even helped him! Even when DFYC was leaving, TRR brought up his tab again. I wonder if DFL also have the same spirit blood as DFYC because no one talked about his blood.
