It wasn't a lot, it was just him being interested in her and maybe a little hint of him regretting being a bully in school(?). I'm still not sure of this but it seemed that way to me. I have only seen till ep 3 so idk how this will change in ep4. Plus at the beginning when we weren't shown that he was a bully in school she collided with him in the building and he waited for her to come out of the washroom but she changed her clothes and already left. So maybe these people kept that scene in their heads and completely glossed over the bullying part

Of course. I don't ship them but I could kinda see what was being hinted a little (a possibility of them being together) and I honestly would have liked it if he was a nice and kind person but that just made me think of all the people who will ship them now despite him being a jerk

To answer your last question I think it's for a change. Almost all idol related shows have the idol fall in love with the FL so maybe it would have been a nice change. But this SML is just not it. Bullying cannot be justified and his personality is still arrogant anyways. Hope people shipping him with her wake up

I haven't seen comments shipping SML with her but I feel like that was one of the plot devices. I would have liked it if he wasn't a bully and a bastard. But it's a big no no
