Despite the heart aching love triangle I love love love this drama because of how raw the emotions felt, how nostalgic at times it was. And also like how they show the Start Up culture, it was new to me when I first watched it and I liked how informing it was. All the characters were lovable too. It's been 5 years and Red Velvet's OST 'Future' is still comforting for me.
I'm in episode 5 and the Zhi bros, the two assassins and the lovely eldest sister (love how crazy she is) seem so intriguing to watch. The ML hasn't piqued my interest yet but I hope he does
While I truly loved the original MQQ, I think the storyâs progression makes sense. Their different upbringings…
Ah, I see what you meanâand I agree, the story progression does make sense! I wasnât trying to say XRR was a stereotypical damsel in distress, just that her mannerisms felt more in line with the typical âbubbly and cutesyâ FL vibe we see a lot. Of course, I get that sheâs younger in this life and that plays into it. But yeah, I think it all comes down to how we individually interpret thingsâtotally subjective! Personally, I just really liked MQG's bold, flirt-first energy and wouldnât mind seeing more of that flavor.
Actually most of her personality stay the same. The difference in age, and power level and upbringing that lead…
Thanks for your explanationâI understood all of that. I wasnât confused about the plot or her character arc; I just wanted to express that I personally really liked Mu Qingge's original personality and the dynamic she brought to the story. I found her boldness and the way she openly flirted really refreshing and unique, and I just wanted to see more characters like that. While she does pursue SYS just like MQG her methods or expressiveness changed (I have no problem), just MQG's flavor of that appealed to me more.
Itâs not a critique of the story or her growthâjust a preference for a certain character flavor I enjoyed. Itâs not about whether XRR is a good or well-written character (I agree she develops well), itâs just that my personal preference leans more toward MQGâs energy and confidence. So I was just hoping for recommendations with a similar vibeâdominant, flirtatious FLs like past MQG. Thatâs all.

I essentially don't have a problem with her character development or however she changed in the story. I just wanted to watch a character like MQG that's what I'm saying. I was intrigued by MQG's personality that's why I watched the drama. I have watched other FL like XRR and have nothing against them. Just wanted to watch something different for a change.
Thank you for the recommendation I'll check it out!
I don't know if it's because they rearranged the episodes, but since I watched their past first I liked the original personality of Mu Qingge quite a lot, she is bold and dominating, kind of felt like reverse roles of ML and FL (stereotypical) so I got really excited watching those episodes then she lost all her memories and was back to that cheery cutesy cutesy FL (stereotypical). I haven't finished the drama yet but regardless, for the most part of the drama her personality doesn't revert back which seems like a loss to me because I liked her for being so dominating. If anybody has recommendations of FL being dominating like past Mu Qingge I'd appreciate it and by that I don't only mean bold or strong but also how openly she used to flirt!
